I showed up early for a party reservation and the staff nearly spoiled me rotten Evan though my spainish is not up to speed. Several staff were accommodating but not overwhelming on a busy Friday night.

Once seated We tried several appetizers , the sardines standing out as well as the oysters. The server took the bones out of our sardines and served us with top notch etiquette .

Our server was exceptional in providing resets of silver and side plates as we happily consumed rounds of tapas style servings including: pulpa, crab cake , tacos presidente , oysters, as well as deserts. I have been waiting to come eat at this place for months. I love pal real and other of their restaurants. The atmosphere is amazing, the service can’t be better, but I expected a bit more from the kitchen at this price point! I had a aguachile de camarón! Después de visitar Navaja en tres ocasiones, tengo sentimientos encontrados, es encantador visualmente, te sientes en un restaurante del norte de España, mezcla de oyster bar, con estilo muy mediterráneo, pero al final lamentablemente cae en lo que muchos otros restaurantes de la Americana: un establecimiento atractivo, pero con platillos diminutos y mejorables. La mayoría de los platillos fuertes están entre los $250.00 y $300.00 MXN y seamos sinceros, no quedarás satisfecho con uno solo. La última vez pedí unos boquerones bastante normales, después pedí un crab cake que estaba diminuto y bastante caro ($280.00 MXN y no eran ni 250 gramos) y estuvimos compartiendo algunos aguachiles muy normalitos (aplican la clásica visual donde te lo rebajan entre verduras y decoraciones varias). Los precios de las bebidas están correctos y bien preparadas, aunque eso sí, lo que fue una gran sorpresa son los ostiones, muy bien preparados, pero igual, porciones diminutas.

El servicio es bueno, está bien ubicado, pero no volvería, lo recomiendo si vas por un par de tragos y plática con amigos, pero si realmente vas a comer, considero que hay mucho mejores opciones en Guadalajara, con mejores...
