5-Star Review for Luis at Negroni Midtown – A Perfect Dining Experience!
We had the pleasure of enjoying a late lunch at Negroni Midtown, and from start to finish, it was exceptional—thanks in no small part to our outstanding waiter, Luis.
We began with a beautifully presented appetizer of Parmesan cheese, tomatoes, and a rich dressing—simple yet flavorful. That was followed by the octopus with potatoes, which easily stole the show. Tender, perfectly grilled, and bursting with flavor—it was hands-down the most delicious dish of the day.
Next came the beet salad and minestrone soup. After giving feedback, Luis graciously had the soup redone, and the second serving was absolutely perfect—hot, hearty, and full of robust flavor.
My main course was the showstopper: pasta tossed in the largest cheese wheel I’ve ever seen. Creamy, cheesy heaven in every bite. My wife ordered the cheese ravioli, which she described as “to die for.” She’s lively, beautiful, and knows good food when she tastes it!
And now, back to Luis—what a gem! Attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made the entire experience feel elevated. When I return to Guadalajara, I will be personally requesting Luis to serve me again. He truly made our meal unforgettable.
Thank you, Luis, and thank you Negroni Midtown, for an...
Read moreWow! What a pleasant fine dining experience. The service provided by Negroni is exceptional and hands down the best I’ve experienced at any of the many fine dining restaurants I’ve been to around the world.
The wait staff is very well trained and are really there to serve you. And by serve you, I mean the moment you finish a plate, they’re there to take it away. For any plate or starter ordered for the table, the wait staff will dish it up for you so you don’t need to do it yourself.
We had a truffle carpaccio and a fried octopus to start. That was followed by a mushroom risotto, Gorgonzola pizza and Parmesan pasta. The Parmesan pasta is prepared by your table and is the big bowl of cheese you see in my pictures.
Why a 4-star review and not 5? For a fine dining restaurant to be rated 5 they need to be flawless and Negroni came very close to flawless. I’d give them a 4.5 if I could. 2 negative things: the pasta was served slightly on the colder side, which needed warming up. The “Parmesan” cheese is also not true Parmesan from Parma, Italy. It’s a Parmesan-like cheese.
Negroni is fine dining to write home about and is an absolute must for anyone looking for a fine...
Read moreThis restaurant could not be any better! The food, the service, the drinks, the cleanliness and attention to detail in everything they do, has set a new standard for my expectations. I have had some excellent meals and great service all over the world, but this is the definition of exceptional. The prices are on the higher side but when you consider what you are getting in return, it is worth every peso and I would consider it great value. My wife has been involved in the hospitality industry for almost 4 decades and we notice things that may not be apparent to the everyday diner. This place is flawless! Neither my wife or I have ever given a restaurant a ten out of ten, until now. Our waiter, Martin was absolutely perfect. My hat is off to the entire staff, from the kitchen and floor staff, to the managers. Negroni has set the bar at a new level. That was 5 stars This second part of my review was almost a year later and what a disappointment. Soggy pizza, lackluster service. After my last review it was actually a shock. I guess I should have quit at perfection. I didn’t expect better, but I did...
