Restaurant La Antigua — Restaurant in Jalisco

Was visiting family and they chose this restaurant to eat at. We were 9 people and were sat immediately and our order was taken. 30 min later another family was sat next to us their order was taken and they received their food before they did. We found it weird but assumed we may have ordered a more complicated meal. An hour goes by and we notice that family gets a pizza when we had ordered one as well. We brought our attention to the manager and he apologized and gave us a free appetizer as a courtesy but our mean still took a long time to arrive and I didn’t get mine until the rest of my family members had eaten their meals which they would have forgotten if we didn’t remind them. 3/19/2016 Located under the green and white umbrella tents in the Plaza de Guadalajara. Adjacent to the plaza is the Cathedral de Guadalajara so you have a fantastic view of it if you're seated near the sides of the tents but we were located near the center so we could no longer enjoy the view. Instead our focus was the entertainment (a man and woman singing and playing contemporary jazz and pop songs). They actually sounded very good. We had sauteed garlic chicken breasts and birria de chivo for dinner and several margaritas and micheladas to drink. Very decent food and comfortable atmosphere with good entertainment. Service seemed good too since they kept returning to see if we needed more drinks. Only complaint was the dining was a bit pricey but I guess you're paying for...

I typically don't add reviews but thought I may be able to help some others avoid the same experience. We were served the wrong food for my order and the waitress just shrugged her shoulders when I pointed this out. My wife ordered chili rellenos that were raw in the center with the pepper crisp and the cheese unmelted. The waitress said all she could do was have us fill out a feedback form. I have never been asked to eat raw food and not offered to have it recooked, replaced or refunded. This is the first time we have left a Mexican restaurant hungry but we typically eat closer to our home in Zapopan. It is a shame since the location is great if visiting the Centro...
