Decent, yet average deep dish pizza and underwhelming cocktails that felt like mock-tails. We had a bit of a wait when we arrived to the very aesthetic restaurant that doesn’t feel like a deep dish pizza restaurant. We ordered for about 10 minutes before we were seated. They have no physical menus available and they only had a QR code which didn’t match the vibe of the restaurant. We had our drink and food orders taken and we both ordered a cocktail. When they arrived, the presentation matched the vibe of the restaurant but our first sips didn’t feel like they had any alcohol at all, felt more like mocktails which was disappointing. We ordered the Pizza Alicudi and were told about the approximate wait time which is appreciated. When the pizza arrived, it looked delicious although a bit small but we did manage to be satisfied with the size when finishing the pizza. The overall taste was decent but nothing special. Paying took a bit but wasn’t all too bad. The drinks were the biggest disappointment and although prices were fair, the food and drinks weren’t for what I hoped for. Lovely presentation and overall vibe but the food was a bit underwhelming to say the least.

I wish I had come more prepared to really enjoy this restaurant. However, after partying the night before I wasn’t able to finish my pizza as I normally do. I did take it back to my hotel and it made for a nice snack later in the evening. The pizza did have too much cheese for my preference but the flavor was wonderful. The waiter didn’t speak much English but luckily I can get by with the little Spanish I know to order food and drinks and read he menu. They did not have a menu in English or maybe they did and the waiter didn’t understand my question. The restaurant was very clean and I can tell that this place is one of the hang out locations as it was busy during a time I wouldn’t expect. I did order one drink and it was delicious but again I didn’t want much more because of the night before. New time I visit I will make sure to come with a better appetite so that I finish my pizza at the table. Gracias and see you next time

As a Chicagoan, I had to try this "Chicago Style Pizza" from Vulcanos in Colonia Americana GDL. I believe this may be the first and last time I eat at this restaurant. Nothing about the experience here was memorable... The pizza sauce was too sweet, cheese too salty and the ingredients needed a bit of crispiness. The appetizer was just ok, as was the pizza. The service seemed cold, it felt like the clients were part of an assembly line... In and out, waiter was amicable, but lacked personality and charisma. I was surprised that this place fell short, there are always a lot of people that dine here... Maybe I'm biased since I hail from Chicago were a deep dish pizza has amazing flavor. Not my favorite restaurant thus far in GDL, but I'm glad I tried and experienced Vulcanos. 👎

The place is really cute but staffed with teenagers who seemed to be more interested in talking than working. Hey I was a teenager once, I get it. We were sat and got a drink order in quickly but waited a long time before someone came to take our order. It wasn’t till someone came by to ask if we want to “add to our order” before we could put in an order. We were then told that the pizza takes 25-30 mins to cook. We ordered a pasta to share as a starter and the pasta was 4.5 stars. So good! Then when the pizza came out we expected it to be piping hot due to the time it takes to cook. Well, it was lukewarm at best. A ton of cheese and a little sauce. Just enough sauce to make you wish there was less. It was like a canned sweet and sour tomato sauce. The pizza was not great. Come for the pasta and drinks, skip the...
