We found this gem which was less than a 5 minute walk from where we stayed. They specialize in foods from Oaxaca. The service was high touch and super. We got to taste test the fresh fruit juices which were delicious and picked guava which was the best juice we’ve had in the Yucatán. One of their signature dishes is like a large stuffed flat bread/tortilla which was very tasty. We also has tostadas which our kids loved. Finally I never thought I’d ever willingly eat grasshopper parts but we got to taste them here and they are delicious. - the are fried chopped up and made with lime, garlic, and chili and it was shockingly so delicious. We are the whole sample! The atmosphere was excellent and we recommend visiting.

Stopped in on a Saturday night, excited for some homemade Tlayudas. Could not be happier with the food or service. We started off with delicious Jamaica and tamarind aqua Fresca and were served up amazing tlayudas along with some delightful salsas. The tasajo was great in mine and the vegetarian version my partner had was also very, very good. You might have to ask for a full vegetarian version…the staff graciously accommodated without hesitation. Also, they have blue corn for their masa and it’s delicious. Took us back to our very fond memories of Oaxaca. Very highly recommended.

In the same space as Maiz Canela y Cilantro, run by a family from Oaxaca. The service is *excellent* and our server spoke English, a nice surprise. The food is all home-cooked from scratch. As authentic as you can get. It all tasted amazing, but the grasshoppers were my flavour favourite, no kidding! If the thought doesn't turn you off, I recommend it completely. The juices were delicious as well.

What a lovely restaurant. Quiet and welcoming. Family owned and run.

The menu is simple and the food just delicious. Service is slow but that was perfect for us as we were in no hurry.

We had the Tlayudas with pork and beef. For four people one Tlayuda each was a lot of food and on reflection one between two would have been plenty and then we may have had room to try the other dishes on offer.

The salsas that accompanied the Tlayudas were absolutely spectacular and the perfect accompaniment. Wish they could be bottled so we could take them home.

As many reviewers have previously mentioned the agua frescas are wonderful.

The prices were also some of the most reasonable we have encountered...

Went there for a supper with my husband last week. Had the cheese/veg tlayuda, tostada, and torta. All were delicious, but the tlayuda was definitely the winner! Also, 100% get their hot chocolate - it is an absolute delight. It's an Oaxacan specialty - the chocolate contains almond powder and cinnamon. We're both allergic to onions/garlic, and our server was very attentive with us - all the sauces apparently contain onion/garlic, so he provided us with guacamole and balsamic vinegar as a replacement. We ate in the patio space and basically had the whole patio to ourselves. An absolutely delicious supper, lovely spot, and...
