Pipiripau Bar — Restaurant in Mérida

Waiters "forgot" to mention that the 3x2 offer is valid only if the beverages are ordered at the same time, I hate a horrible sausage in cold cheese sauce. When my girlfriend asked for some lactose-free dishes, the waiter pointed to the French fries with chorizo, so we chose those, but when they arrived, they were covered in cheese sauce. The taste of the whole thing was not that good, nor the serving temperature (also cold). Finally, when we wanted to pay, they pointed a slightly higher price, and when we paid even more (they asked 480$, we paid 500$), they pointed out the fact that the tip was not sufficient and we should had to pay more. For that kind of service, it was more than sufficient. And, as cherry on top, even if the menus clearly stated that payment with card are accepted, the POS was not working right in that moment. What if we hadn't enough money?

During our stay in Merida we went twice to this place. The first time, on a Tuesday, the place was empty, super nice vibe and the staff was really friendly. Later over the week we made a rsv for Saturday, we arrived 3 min. past the rsv and the bouncer was extremely rude. He didn't even bother to greet, ask about our rsv info or be polite at all. Mi pareja y yo pedimos dos cocteles pero estaban súper aguados, parecía que ya los tenían preparados desde tiempo atrás. Sabían como a agua con algo de azucar, no tenían casi nada de alcohol (NO son baratos como para que no le pongan alcohol) se supone que el precio es porque lleva alcohol, sin embargo eran pura agua con endulzante. Para esto ya habíamos pedido un paquete que traía varias cosas para comer, pero los dedos de queso traían un pelo:( nos ofrecieron cambiarlo y aceptamos, en su lugar nos trajeron unas papas que estaban muuuy condimentadas, no nos las acabamos. Estábamos de buen humor a pesar de esas situaciones y tratamos de pensar que la noche podía mejorar, así que, pedimos un cubetazo porque queríamos alcohol, pero ya habían pasado más de 20 min. y nadie nos llevaba las cervezas. Esperamos un rato más porque empezó a llegar más gente y pensamos que a lo mejor por eso se atrasaron, al final ya íbamos para 30 min esperando el cubetazo, hasta que vi que a los extranjeros que recién habían llegado ya les habían servido sus cervezas que pidieron mucho después que yo, así que mejor fui a pedir la cuenta a donde ingresan las comandas, a lo que el mesero me dice “pero es que ya les iba a llevar el cubetazo, aquí tengo el ticket” (YO VI COMO APENAS HABÍA INGRESADO EL PEDIDO DE CERVEZAS) 🙃 le dije que me lo cancele y que porfavor me diera mi cuenta.
