云天楼 - Yuntianlou — Restaurant in Mexico City

Authentic Chinese restaurant that specializes in Wenzhou cuisine. Simple, modern decor and friendly service. Highly recommend coming with groups as portions are large.

We were lucky to score a reservation via WeChat on a Friday night. As the restaurant has just opened & it was a busy night, the owner sent over the menu in advance for us to preorder the dishes to minimize wait time.

We ordered 4 dishes for 3 people, and it was plenty of food. Everything was delicious - but my favorite was hands down their signature iron plate taro (铁板手工香芋).

Looking forward to returning again to try other dishes (they are known for their sauerkraut fish aka 酸菜鱼).

De difícil pronunciación para los mexicanos pero podríamos mencionarlo cómo Yun Tian Lou. Restaurante chino original siendo picante / agriosa, con platillos abundantes y sustanciosos con muy buena presentación, los dueños pueden hablar contigo tanto en su idioma como en español e ingles donde podrán guiarte en sus diferentes platillos, solo aceptan efectivo por lo que no realizan facturas y no cuentan con estacionamiento. Se encuentra atrás del hotel camino Real entre dos restaurantes que cuentan con planta baja, primer y segundo piso. Lo molesto de ahí es cuando se juntan muchos chinos y parece mercado el lugar sin poder escuchar cuando platicas en tu mesa, algo que no me agrada es que permiten fumar dentro del establecimiento y sus baños tienen mala higiene. Al menos si no deseas escuchar tanto ruido, te recomiendo los cuartos privados. Es una comida no muy habitual para el mexicano por lo que si deseas experimentar en sabores, te recomiendo que vayas con un paladar más exigente, si lo que deseas es el clásico chop suey o cerdo agridulce, aquí no...
