An intimate and intriguing Italian restaurant with solid pastas and pizza. As soon as we walked in, we were instantly acknowledged and seated at one of the four tables inside. We were handed an iPad along with a QR code for the menu, which felt unnecessarily complicated, especially since the cocktail menu was a physical copy. It would have been much simpler to just have one physical menu.
We ordered the pistachio pasta along with the Matteo pizza, which had pepperoni, spicy honey, and burrata. After a bit of a wait, the pasta arrived, and the presentation was interesting—a piece of ham stood out as an odd addition. We put it aside, and the pasta itself wasn’t bad. The flavors were well-balanced, but it wasn’t anything mind-blowing (7/10).
The pizza took a bit longer, but when it arrived, it looked very appetizing. The first couple of bites were decent, and for pepperoni fans, this one had tons of it (7.5/10).
Service was decent throughout our visit, as the staff was attentive, but the restaurant itself is small, with the kitchen located next door. Even on a Tuesday night, it was busy but not so packed that we had to wait for a table.
Prices were about average—the pizza was a bit on the pricier side at $275, but considering it’s shareable between two people, it felt fair. The pasta, also a decent portion to share, was $245.
Overall, a decent Italian eatery with solid food and good service in the Roma Sur where Italian restaurants are a bit more scarce compared...
Read moreRun, don’t walk to this amazing pizzeria! I am still thinking about the pizza I ate here a week ago. And the salad too! I had a pizza that has pepperoni, burrata and drizzled honey. Lord almighty- I nearly died of joy. My friend lives around the corner from here and honestly, I don’t know why she doesn’t weigh 200 kilos. The service was also impeccable. It’s a small little hole in the wall spot with a little sidewalk terrace. I hope this little hole in the wall grows and prospers without losing the amazing quality of the food...
Read morePositives: Attentive service. Quality of pasta, free bread, olive oil, balsamic vinegar was excellent. 2x1 drinks promo everyday although we did not try it this time.
Room for improvement: Lighting needs to be much darker and bulbs need to be changed for yellow ones. I heard 2 other tables comment on this while I was there (also I suggest burning candles on the tables or at the bar for ambience). Food was not very hot when served.
This place is new and making an effort. They are definitely worth a visit and we...
