Café la Selva — Restaurant in Mexico City

Avoid this place like the plague on weekends, service just goes down the hill, there was a very rude young dude with tattooes behind the counter that went on a power trip over us seating outside on an empty table vs inside ( mind you I go there every week but still got treated like trash by this dude) , funny enough its ok on the weekdays and the service was 10 times better, the food itself is comfort/regular fare, the chilaquiles I think are excelent, but again the service just brings down the whole place, especially on weekedns...

I had an incredible experience at this coffee shop! From the moment I stepped in, the cozy ambiance and aromatic coffee drew me in. The baristas were friendly and knowledgeable, creating expertly crafted drinks tailored to my taste. The variety of pastries and snacks complemented the coffee perfectly. The comfortable seating and free Wi-Fi made it a great spot to relax or get work done. I'll definitely be returning for more of their delicious brews and...

After being completely ignored for ten or so minutes, I ordered a chai latte frio from someone who came out of the back and saw me standing in front of two chatting coworkers. The stated menu price was mx$57 but the cashier decided to charge me more because it was to go. Nowhere on the menu or in the restaurant, itself, is it stated that to go orders are charged more. As a fairly frequent traveler, I’m (sadly) accustomed to the tourist markup, but the wait staff was rude in the process. If that’s what you’re into, go to Paris. There are better ways to get ripped off in cdmx.

(En español) Después de ser completamente ignorado durante unos diez minutos, pedí un chai latte frio a alguien que salió de atrás y me vio parado frente a dos compañeros de trabajo charlando. El precio indicado del menú era mx$57 pero el cajero decidió cobrarme más porque era para llevar. En ninguna parte del menú ni en el propio restaurante se indica que los pedidos para llevar se cobren más. Como viajero bastante frecuente, estoy (lamentablemente) acostumbrado al margen turístico, pero los camareros fueron groseros en el proceso. Si eso es lo que te gusta, ve a París.
