La Buena Birria MX — Restaurant in Mexico City

This place does not deserve the hype it has.

The birria itself lacked flavor and so did the consume. This restaurants savior is the tortilla and the cheese, both items that aren’t made in house.

If you’re reading this you’re better off finding a street vendor that sells birria.

What gives you the right to question someone’s palate regardless of their background, Mexican or not. Shame one you. We were talking about your lack of flavor, over cooked noddles, horchata from concentrate, etc and you made it personal.

Based on your previous bad reviews, we all note the exact same thing.

Birria is a delicious beef stew and this place will combine it in as many different ways as possible. We went for the (trendy?) Birriamen, whereby they give you a massive bowl of consume, meat, and noodles.

The consume and meat were delicious, as expected. Incredibly deep flavours, a tad spicy, but also very salty. Their cuts of meat are very lean. I expected more fatty cuts and a mix of textures. As well, the noodles were not great. The fusion is with Japanese ramen, and this was almost certainly pre-fried instant noodles. It’s a bit disappointing given the phenomenal but salty soup. One can add fresh cilantro and onion, and the lime is critical.

Seating outdoors is available. They take cash or credit card. English speaking waiters. So great service, great Birria, all let down by...

I recently visited La Buena Birria, and overall, I had a good experience. The birria itself is quite flavorful, although it was a little too salty for my personal taste. I think a slight adjustment would make it perfect. What truly stood out, however, was the service. The servers were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Their positive attitude really enhanced the whole dining experience.
