Amazing! A friend told me about this and I visited at about 10:15pm. Due to COVID, the dining area closes at 10:30pm. The staff said they would seat me but they were closing soon so I chose to take out. Taste: 5/5 I ordered the classic menu item: 1 churro (It defaulted to azucar, white sugar topping) and 1 chocolate Mexicano (light hot cocoa, more milky). These go straight out of the fryer, into the sugar/cinnamon, into a bag, then into your mouth! The churros are hot and lightly doughy. Crispy on the outside and soft and fully cooked on the inside. You can either dip it in the chocolate or have a bite and a sip! Customer service: 5/5 The staff are on top of their craft. Service is quick. I tipped a few pesos in coins and they put an extra 3 churros in the bag when I only ordered 1!!! Very respectful and appreciative employees. Location: 3/5 The inside dining area looks lovely and I'm sure it's nice. But with takeout, it's quite sketchy.

I love food, I love cooking it but mostly I love eating it. Now this place, was a magical experience. The place was packed, there to go line was like 20 yards long. And all they serve is churros and hot cocoa, that's it with the exception of ice cream and milkshakes. It was almost midnight when we were there and I could not believe the amount of people that were there just to eat the churros and drink the hot cocoa, until I tried them. My wife and I ordered the dark chocolate hot cocoa, unsweet and delicious. And their churros are amazing, we got them both with plain sugar and with sugar and cinnamon. Full service restaurants would kill to have the amount of people this place had, I've never seen a Starbucks this full. Amazing experience, delicious treats, if we ever come back to Mexico City we will definitely come back here. And before I forget, this place has been here almost a hundred years, amazing.

We decided to try the place out since there was no queue and it was quite empty. The place gets very busy in the evening as it’s open very late. I would never wait in line to get in. It’s a very traditional place serving churros however, so if you like churros and are visiting Mexico City you probably should make a stop here. Churros are quite cheap whereas chocolate is overpriced in my opinion. The menu also does not make much sense, you can order a bundle of 4 churros for 200 pesos or 1 churro for 50 pesos, what is the point of a bundle? I’m not a massive fan of churros in general, but I have eaten way better ones in Portugal. I found churros here way too thin so you are mostly eating the fried layer on top. The chocolate is also way too sweet so you end up eating sweet fried dough with sugar on top and then dip it in the over sweet chocolate. Absolutely no balance in flavour.

I can see why this place has such great reviews. We visited at a fairly busy time on a mid-week evening and were seated very quickly. There is a queue on the right for takeaway and the left to eat in. The menu is quite small and also has an English translation for everything. We got 4 churros, mini churros, a milkshake, chocolate sauce and condensed milk sauce. Everything was spectacular. My favourite were the churros with the condensed milk dip but my husband loved the bite sized churros with the chocolate dip - given we couldn't decide I think you will realise how good it all was. It was a lot of food and we took the rest to go. It looked like mostly people ordered churros and a milkshake (4 different varieties of milkshakes). Everything comes very quickly, the staff are very good. Highly recommend. Not fancy but it was great!

Wow. Increible. Shared a combo order and added an extra hot chocolate and the small ice cream sandwich. Churros were perfectly fresh, light and crunchy. Hot choc had lots of interesting options. The Especial was a dark hot chocolate and was heaven in a cup (Agustus would DEFINITELY not be "saving any room for later"!!!). The sandwich in the pic is choc ice cream between two mini churros. It didn't seem like it would be a lot to eat but because it was all so rich it really fills you up. I think about half would have been perfect. Wasn't feeling well about 30 minutes after eating but I would still give it 6 stars if I could because these guys know their stuff and they were killing. The waitresses were very friendly and cool with their classic outfits also. This was a top rec to us for CDMX and we can confidently rerecommend it!
