[English and Spanish reviews]
My cousins took me here for lunch as they said the food was delicious. When we got there, the line to get in was almost down the block, but was surprisingly speedy to get in. The waiter took our order and we ordered 3 pineapple-kiwi aguas frescas, the potato wedges (highly recommend), and a custom 3-topping pizza.
The issues started with the drinks. I received mine first without food in sight. About 15 minutes later, we thought the waiter might've forgotten the rest of the drinks, but that was not the case. They had run out and while he did say it would take a little while to get us the rest of our drinks, it actually took way longer. The second issue was with the pizza. The pizza we ordered included up to three toppings. We told the waiter we wanted half ham and half pepperoni, but he said this wasn't allowed. He would not elaborate as to why, but if we wanted both toppings, both had to be on the entire pizza. We later noticed that other tables were able to order half and half, but the waiter claimed that this was because they paid extra or something along those lines. I then told him it didn't make any sense as the restaurant saves money on ingredients if we got half and half. He did not respond. If this is restaurant policy, that's absurd.
Delicious food, so-so service.
No respondió. Si es póliza del restaurante, es absurdo.
Buena comida, servicio...
Read morePlace looks cool and the smell from outside is inviting. There was a huge line of waiting customers outside on the street, this gave me the impression it must be good. Unfortunately the rest wasn't as inviting and service isn't as helpful.
Service: So, firstly I had to organise how to get a hold of a menu by myself, since they don't have one at the door, or enough to hand out. I went inside to get a look at the menu, while being there I noticed they had 5 tables free but a huge line of waiting customers outside!? This makes no sense to me, at least offer the waiting customers a drink and a seat while they wait! We waited 25+ mins for a pizza and those 5 tables never got used, yet a huge line outside nonetheless. We asked friendly if we could seat while waiting for our pizza (we ordered to go), yet got told those tables are reserved, or about to be used, they never did the entire time we waited! Halfway while waiting I asked another server if we could seat on a free table, he said yes and was friendly even told us a colleague would come soon asking us if we wanted something to drink. Yet soon after that the initial guy who told us no, talked to our waiter and clearly told him not to attend to us. Complete and utter customer oriented disaster!
Food: The pizza is not exactly what I had in mind from a huge line going out to the street. It's a huge piece of bread and about 1cm of your topping and one cm cheese on top. If you like such pizza's maybe it's worth the wait, any other person who has had a real Italian pizza stay away, you will be disappointed. We had one slice of what we ordered and gave the rest away to hungry people on the street.
Atmosphere: cool trendy place, there's two floors, a empty swimming pool for skating and there's tons of old arcades. This is the only thing that I liked about...
Read moreSuch attitude from the hosts upon entering this place. I understand basic Spanish and can read a menu, but when I stopped the girl who did not greet me and just rattled off something super fast in Spanish, I kindly told her (in Spanish) to please slow down, I understand just a little.. She rolled her eyes and pointed to the guy standing in the doorway. We asked for a menu and he said, "Well, the menu is in Spanish." I replied , "No problema.". Just be aware that they also want your name and phone number for Covid tracking (no, thank you) or you are not allowed to dine in. The silly thing is, you do go through the restaurant area to place your order and hope that you can find a place to sit and wait. The host brings you through and just leaves you there, thank goodness we did find a nice gentleman that immediately came over to take our order. Oh, and don't try to order something different than one of their listed pizzas or you will get questioned multiple times and if you're sure you don't want xyz. So we waited what seemed like an exceptionally long time and by the time we did get our pizza, it was warm but the cheese had almost solidified on the top. We figured instead of going through the hassle, we'd just reheat it. So, I don't need to tell you that this location, the pizza and the hostesses are a very big disappointment. I think what they have done with the place is great (it is an old skate park and industrial building) but I would avoid eating here at all costs. We have had much better service and food from the location near the Monument to...
