Famous for its tacos, this place did not disappoint. We went early but I’m sure it gets busy as the night goes on. This one is located in the Zona Rosa in Mexico City, close to bars and dance clubs. Don’t expect the food to come out all at one time, they make your tacos (or chilaquiles, etc) on the spot. Delicious crispy tortilla chips are served as you sit down with a tray that has beans (to dip the chips), two salsas: red and green and lemon wedges to garnishing. Tacos Al pastor is what you should get! With everything (pineapple, onions, etc). I don’t like raw onions because I keep repeating them after I eat them but so worth it. The pineapple adds a juicy sweetness to the tacos. We also tried the chicharrón de queso: a thin layer of cheese that has been “fried” on the flat grill. The chilaquiles de frijol Al pastor was also tasty and the chips held up pretty well against the beans. They have several locations so depending on where you are, there may be a tizoncito near you.the only thing to worry about here is that you may eat waaay too much unintentionally.

The pastor and bistec tacos here are excellent. You can taste the carbon on the bistec and the New York (costilla) but the bistec is a much easier meat and less chewy. The pastor which comes with pineapple here and no cheese is phenomenal. No wonder they call themselves the creators. Good attention and right next door to luisito’s ramen place. Tacos and ramen anyone? Cause I’m coming back here for sure.

I googled Mexican restaurants near my accommodation. It was the first time for me to try quite authentic Mexican food in Mexico, so I am not sure if I am evaluating them right or not. A small, casual restaurant. Tacos were fresh and good. The waiter was kind to a foreigner who didn't speak Spanish. I liked them generally!

The tacos are really awful, my dog’s food looks tastier. But I have to say, if this company dedicated itself to selling beans, it would be a number one hit in Mexico. Those beans with tortilla chips are amazing 🤙🏿 and for the first time they don’t give me flatulence.
