City Express by Marriott Ciudad de México EBC Reforma — Hotel in Mexico City

I have been staying in this hotel for all my trips to CDMX in the last 5 years, it has improved in some areas but not in others. I would have given a better rate but this time the Breakfast menu was a bit disappointing, not many options and not at all inclusive to the type of eating restrictions some people may have nowadays (no vegan, no keto, no lactose intolerant friendly, to name a few) , there were short staffed and the food finished early so we had to wait until the new batch was ready, also no toaster, not a big issue but not the same. On the rooms everything clean and tidy but the A/C never worked properly and the bathroom extractor was broken also, so the room was hot and humid. It is close to downtown that you can walk to anything that is the most convenient thing that I have to offered other than that it has very small rooms very tiny little bathrooms with little to no lighting whatsoever. It has air conditioner TV save hairdryer iron ironing board. The basic of amenities. It looks clean but soon as we arrive to our room we found hairs on our bedding. Can't really complain for $40 a day. City express it's the equivalent of a mall till eight or Motel 6 here in the United States 🇺🇸 which is not a compliment. The staff was friendly but that was it. No parking. They said they offer breakfast but I assume it was the very basic cereal water milk and coffee ☕️. Needless to say we will not be staying there...

Nuestra estadía en el hotel fue decepcionante, en primer lugar al llegar sentimos que las fotos del hotel publicadas no corresponden a la realidad, los espacios se ven mucho mas pequeños en el sitio. Tanto las areas comunes del hotel como las habitaciones. Por otro lado reservamos 2 habitaciones con bastante anticipacion y llamamos 10 dias antes de nuestro check in para pedir que nos pusieran en el mismo piso. Esta solicitud no les importo y nos ubicaron en pisos diferentes. El aire acondicionado en una de las habitaciones no funcionaba y las ventanas estan selladas por lo cual no se podian abrir. Esa primera noche el calor fue un verdadero problema. A la mañana siguiente nos dijeron que un personal de mantenimiento iba a tratar de arreglar el problema, paso todo el dia y hasta las 9pm fue que nos cambiaron de habitacion para nuestra segunda noche. A las 6am del dia siguiente alguien intento entrar a una de nuestras habitaciones mientras dormiamos generando una situacion muy incomoda con nuestra familia y niños, para nuestra sorpresa el personal de recepcion no registro nuestro cambio la noche anterior y le asigno la habitacion a otra persona que simplemente fue a tomar la habitacion que le habian asignado. Grave error el cual fue reportado y discutido con todo el personal de recepcion ese dia en la mañana. Luego ese mismo dia nuestra sorpresa fue que al llegar al hotel despues de pasar todo el dia afuera al entrar a la habitación habia otro huesped en ella, pues nuevamente le habian asignado la habitación a otro huésped porque tampoco arreglaron el problema en el sistema en la mañana. Ya en este punto y luego de 2 caoticas noches en el hotel decidimos retirarnos de alli muy decepcionados del servicio brindado. La solucion del manager fue devolvernos el dinero de los 2 noches que faltaban por usar el cual usamos en otro hotel pero las 2 noches caoticas las cobraron al 100% el cual es bastante injusto y absurdo debido a las...
