Fugu Sushi — Restaurant in Mexico City

Stumbled upon this place a few months after it opened. Its decor and design is so beautiful and understated yet gorgeous. Though we were on the hunt for tacos, we couldn’t pass up trying this place. All 8 (yes! They only have 8 seats at the sushi bar and no tables. It’s perfect) seats were full but we waited a bit until space opened up. And I’m so glad we did. The food was outstanding! One of the best sushi meals I’ve had anywhere. We sampled a lot different things and every thing we ate was perfect. We kept sampling and each order delighted. We mentioned to the owner that we were headed to tacos and he recommended a nearby place that was also wonderful. We will absolutely go back!...

I stopped by Fugu sushi when I decided to get a peaceful meal by myself. I found myself at this spot and wasn’t sure if I should open the door so I poked my head at the window and the host / owner opened the door for me. He was very nice, present and the place was so calm and inviting. The food was absolutely incredible, the quality of the fish was impeccable and the chef skills you can tell were beautiful trained and well executed. The Japanese business men next to me were extremely impressed as well and offered the chefs gifts!

PS - I LOVE Uni and this is the spot to get a perfect Uni nigiri!

One word, AMAZING!! A friend strongly recommended this place saying it was the best, and he didn’t exaggerate one bit. What these people offer is truly art. Everything freshly made, of the highest quality and very good service. We were lucky to meet the boss, who is very passionate about his restaurant and very caring towards his clients as well as employees. A must for everyone looking for an authentic, amazing experience! I would recommend to try the wagyu tartar as wel as the wagyu ice cream👌. I will be coming...
