Ka-fú — Restaurant in Mexico City

Not the worst option if you are craving chinese food or a mexican greasy spoon kinda joint ( they have a mix of breakfast/mexican/mexican bakery and chinese), just keep your expectations low, low...the sauce plate was dirty with bits of rice from whoever ate here last, the server didn't once say hi, hello, thank you or welcome if that matters to you. I ordered a lunch package for $165 pesos, a Coke $39 and a piece of bread, they charge $7 for the to go package, so total with tip was around $14-USD.

The food was actually pretty standard fare, the highlight was the mixed rice which was good not great, the rest was ok, nothing memorable and lacking flavor,bland, the reedeming quality was the quantity as it was plenty for one person and I took most of the rice to go, the other surprise was the bread which was buttery and sweet but wasn't chinese.

If you like Asian/Chinese food there are a ton of other "culinary experiences" around Roma/Condesa for about twice the price and some chinese street food stands for less ( but dicey ), this place is sort of bottom middle and could be great if it was...

My spouse and I went for a meal at this Chinese/Mexican restaurant in Mexico City today. We were no sooner seated when one of the waiters announced about us, "The girls have arrived". I will not mention his name here, he knows who he is and what he did. Yes, homophobia is alive and well in CDMX, despite all of the progress made. Needless to say, we promptly left, but not before informing the manager. WE WILL NOT FREQUENT OR SUPPORT ANY ESTABLISHMENT THAT PROMOTES HOMOPHOBIA OR EMPLOYS OUTWARDLY HOMOPHOBIC STAFF. Our money is better spent at establishments where we are treated with the respect that is deserving of everyone else. We do not recommend this restaruant to anyone visiting...

This is one of the best restaurants we have been to in Mexico City thus far. Located on a quiet street with great atmosphere. Had the friendliest service - the manager (her name is Chela) and her staff, treated us like a member of the family. Serves delicious fusion food. We ordered the vegetarian fried rice with vegetarian medley. Has lots of flavour, we will definitely be back for another delicious meal! Highly...
