Mano Santa Cocina — Restaurant in Mexico City

Comida horrible y servicio pésimo. Ni me abrió las cervezas, las tuve que destapar yo con mi encendedor. Pedí un mezcal añejo y me dio un joven. Yo le averigué el error y se puso cara de feo conmigo. También nos dice que pedir comida es obligatorio. Yo pedí tacos (hay tacos de frijol $20) y él sin preguntar me trae tacos de carne (el plato sale en $90). Al pedir la cuenta, el mesero me dijo que la cuenta salió a $345. Yo la había calculado en $290. Fui al bar y pedi directamente con el bartender mi recibo. Es $290. ¡CUIDADO! El mesero exagera los precios. Es una pequeña estafa para reclamar una propina automática de 20% y para confundir los clientes para que dejen aún más dinero. El bartender me pregunta Dime una cosa. ¿Tengo que ser mexicana para que me cobre la cuenta justa? Llevo un año en México. Voy a contar a todos que no vayan a este bar. Por $55 van a perder mucho más negocio. Todo el personal es deshonesto.

DO NOT GO HERE! I caught the waiters cheating customers (ESPECIALLY FOREIGNERS) a few different ways. They are running a little scam where they quote the bill higher than it is. They give themselves an automatic good tip hoping you think that's the total and leave even more. Do not pay without getting a written paper receipt. Do your own math. The whole staff is dishonest. Bartender tried to explain that it's normal. I have lived here over a year and it's absolutely not normal to have unannounced service charge. ALSO the waiter didn't even open my beers, I had to open them w my own lighter. I asked for aged mezcal and he brought me a young (cheaper) version. I told him the color was wrong please bring the one I ordered and he made a face at me before agreeing that yes it was the wrong one. Told me we are required to order food. We just ate so I asked for the cheapest thing on the menu. He suggests tacos (menu lists bean tacos $20) without asking me he orders me and delivers meat tacos ($90). At that point I didn't specify so I couldn't say anything. The food sucks though. JUST AVOID...

Terrible food and worst service I’ve experienced in CDMX after living here for two years

The staff overcharged us and wouldn’t adjust the bill. They lied to our faces, which I’d never experienced before, and were rude in the end 😭💀

They falsely advertised a promotion to us for beer, mezcal, and a food item. We asked several times, clearly and straight forward, what the promotion included, and they told us it included everything — of course, at the end they charged us for the food separately. My Mexican partner explained in Spanish, and then I explained again in Spanish, and they continuously refused to change it

Stay far away from this place! Much better options close...

Es un lugar que en lo personal lleva muy pero muy bien lo que es la tradición mexicana a la alta cocina sin necesidad de buscar ser pretencioso, los platillos son muy honestos, son ricos y sencillos sin ser mediocres. Las salsas son riquísimas, muy bien sazonadas, pican lo que deben de picar, y la verdad es que los tacos, guisados y comidas en general están muy bien balanceadas (quiero aclarar que iba muy asustado a este lugar porque habia visto criticas de este mismo donde decian que la comida era mala o que no eran la gran cosa, fui sin esperar nada, pero la verdad sea dicha, es que no se si yo tuve mucha suerte o cocinan asi todos los dias y es que todo lo que probe estaba muy bueno), ninguno de los ingredientes en cualquier platillo opaca al otro. Hay cerveza de todo tipo y para todos los gustos. Un lugar excelente para ir con amigos para comer algo rico y tomarse como decimos nosotros los mexicanos una chela bien fría. Lo recomiendo ampliamente y espero regresar pronto en compañía de familia y amigos porque el ambiente se siente como si estuvieras en casa divirtiéndote en compañía de familia y amigos tal y como nosotros los mexicanos lo sabemos hacer. 20/10 y GOD. Por cierto el mezcal es excelente 👌, su cata de mezcal es de las mejores. Tiene que trabajar un poquito más en el sazón y siento que pronto será un restaurante a la altura de los mejor calificados en toda ciudad de México. Ah bueno y por rascarle a lo malo solo por rascarle y eso si, es que los sanitarios no son muy amplios, es más son muy chiquitos y te sientes un poquito apretado. De ahí en fuera no puedo decir nada...
