Staff: When you walk in you don't get a warm welcome as you usually would get when you go to any restaurant. Lady (most than likely the manager) that works there about 40 years old has a rude way of speaking to customers coming in and doesn't tell you why you should wait, at least to say that your waiting to be seated with at least a smile. This lady also yells at the employees in a way you feel uncomfortable been there since you can hear everything she is saying in spanish. Its also uncomfortable for the staff to watch you eat. They should at least be in an aile where they can see everyone from afar. The waiter that was taking our order was nice. But lacked customer attention, such as asking: "is there anything else I can bring you?"
Food: Not sure what Phó (shown on picture posted) is the one I was recommended by the waiter, it tasted good, not as authentical as I've tried before. But had good taste. Dumpligs were exaggeratly salty. Sauces were salty too. The phó almost became salty too. Phó also lacks all of the vegetables that usually come with it.
Drinks: There is not a great variety for those who don't drink soda or have IBS problems. They also did not have many of the drinks listen on the menu.
Atmosphere: It has a very asian type feeling, only downside is that they force the vietnamese music. That can be improved with other channels such an asian novela.
Price: IVA (Tax) is included at the end, i spend about $770 pesos for two people including 2 drinks, 2 phó and dumpling (6 pieces).
I hope you enjoy your stay here in Mexico City. Wonderful place to be with a variety of things and places to try. If you liked my review do give it a thumbs to know this is thype of reviews you are...
Read moreIm not a pho expert but I do love eating some pho. being said, this place does NOT make good pho. From the start, we had to wait around 10 minutes to just get the menu, and we got to see another table that came after us get their food while we were barely ordering. It didn’t take too long for the food to come out, we tried the spring rolls, pho and a stir fry noodle dish. The spring rolls are expensive for how tiny they are and small amount of meat in them. The pho wasn’t as flavorful as we had hoped and doesn’t come with the typical bean sprouts, basil, pepper and cilantro. Unfortunately, my sister even found a bug in her soup (we believe it to be a cockroach), we let the waitress know but she didn’t even apologize and offered to replace the dish or bring out a new one. My sister chose to get a replacement of the same dish but not even 5 minutes later she said she had a big headache. The stir fry noodles were to salty and simply not worth the price. They need more waiters and staff since that’s one of the reasons they took so long to attend us. It also took around 15 minutes to ask for the check. I’m pretty sad because I had very high hopes but came out extremely disappointed. I’d recommend to eat traditional Mexican food like some tacos.
Read moreJust can't give a 5 or a 4 here-- generally good, however, my noodles were a bit soggy. The other person's noodles tasted like low-quality packaged Ramen, which made them not able to finish the dish. Meats veggies and sauces good; spring rolls and sauce good meaning OK; all a bit pricey, as a few other reviews have noted; entirely OK if you're new to Vietnamese cuisine, but I'd say, likely disappointing if you have been regularly exposed. Hopefully the noodles problem will be fixed, but our experience was below expectations, at a bit over 800MXN / $40US for...
