We love this hotel as it is located just a few blocks to Zocalo. The avenue is in Cinco de Mayo which is for me, the best street to walk around centro if you want to experience the beauty of what the center of mexico city has to offer. The historical structures in different corners are beautifully constructed with so much details.

Regarding the hotel, It is nice and the rooms are all in old style which makes the ambiance feel warm and different. But, I have one thing to suggest when you check in. Make sure you request for a quiet room away from the noise because there's a bar right next to the hotel and the noise are pretty loud until 3am. We happen to be sleeping to a room for the 1st night that is next to that bar and me and my husband couldn't sleep the whole night. Next day, we requested for a different room and the reception are very nice and understanding and gave us a new room.

We are happy to see our new room because they gave us a room with a city view. I'm surprised that it wasn't noisy even the room is near to the streets.

Also, all rooms I think comes with free breakfast but their restaurant are too small to accommodate all guests. There was a pack of line waiting to get a table. We came 8:30am and the line was long. We had to wait 30min to get a table. The next day, we had to come early like 7:30am and there...

Other than its location of being literally adjacent to Zocalo and Plaza de la Constitucion, it has no other over the top things to recommend.

On checkin, found a bed sheet with hair/stain. Housekeeping replaced all. The room with 3 beds had only 1 (ONE) power outlet. The bath was fine except that even with the shower door closed, water would seep out and the foot towel would be soaked.

Hotel was undergoing renovations and the elevator was inop. So it was 6 storey climb to get to the daily breakfast on the 7th floor. We must have been the only non Mexican guests. So the breakfast catered to Mexican taste. I had scrambled eggs all 3 days. Milk was available only on request. Likewise with ketchup. It also offered free coffee and snacks till 10 pm. Nothing great. But the Wait staff was GREAT.

In hind sight, should have stayed...

This place could easily be 5 stars. However we reserved a room with a king bed, when we got to our room we found out it was actually 2 full-size beds. When we asked about our reservation the night auditors had a conversation as to whether the mistake was due to “maintenance” or “computer software error” since they didn’t have any kings available we were stuck. Like many people have stated the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything in the hallway and street. Fortunately it wasn’t a busy night on the street but there was still lots of traffic noise. Also the bathrooms as stated by many people are poorly designed. Why does the shower area allow the water to enter the rest of the bathroom area and why is the secondary drain in the worst spot imaginable to deal with water exiting from the...

This hotel, it's the worse place I've ever been, I don't even know how to start, the elevator only 3 people are allowed to go on it, then if you want to take a shower you might as well ask for a dozen of ducks so they can enjoy with you the water that floods in the bathroom rooms # 506 and 511 and my sister in law was on room # 210, if you don't want water all over ask for long towels so you can used them as walls, I will post pictures

Very convenient and central location. Friendly staff and decent rooms. Some rooms are out of reach for wifi, I asked to get another one and was given a much better room, so do not hesitate to demand the features you've booked. The breakfast is a nice plus, however the breakfast room is very often full and you'll have to queue in order to sit and enjoy your first meal if the day.
