I visited this establishment with high expectations based on the ratings, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t meet them. We ordered the fresas con crema and Arlequin ice cream.
For the fresas con crema, while the strawberries themselves were fresh and of good quality, the cream was quite basic - just standard commercial cream without anything else and lechera (condensed milk) as topping. The portion size was generous for the price, but the cream lacked the rich, distinctive flavor I was hoping for. Additionally, the pecan topping seemed past its prime, which affected the overall taste.
The Arlequin ice cream was disappointing. The mamey flavor had an unusual bittersweet quality and all the ice cream scoops lacked the creamy texture I expected - it felt somewhat watery instead, we tried butter, lemongrass, pistachio and hazelnut. The strawberry “component” was more like a thin jam without much flavor depth.
I also noticed some hygiene concerns during my visit, with flies present in the dining area, which detracted from the experience.
While I appreciate that tastes can vary, this particular visit didn’t work out for me. I hope others have a better experience, but I personally wouldn’t return or...

Read moreThe place has very nice ice cream and lovely owners! The two flavors I had, cacao and mazapan con palaqueta, proudly impressed me with their Mexican root and well-balanced sweetness. Highly recommended for people who are looking for something local, different, and not-sweet-to-death ice cream :) The owner friendlily and patiently explained the menu to us in English. As visitors who can't speak Spanish, we are grateful to have his introduction. We really enjoyed the ice creams, had a good time in this small joint, and deeply admire their passion and proud in passing down this century-old family legacy. We are happy, almost honored, to be able to find this lovely place on Christmas day before the shop closed. It was the best part...
