Great Ambiance, Tasty Cocktails, and Good Vibes Zu Zu is a fantastic spot in Mexico to enjoy a meal and some refreshing cocktails. The ambiance is relaxed yet lively, making it a great choice for a casual hangout or a special occasion. We visited as a party of two and decided to explore almost every cocktail on the menu. The drinks were flavorful, well-balanced, and enjoyable, though the presentation leaned more toward simplicity than extravagant creativity. That said, the flavors truly shone, and the Guayaba Spritz stood out as a must-try — it's a delightful blend of fruity and refreshing notes that we couldn’t get enough of. For food, the Entrees (appetizers) were fantastic — thoughtfully prepared, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. Unfortunately, the main courses didn’t quite live up to the same standard; they were decent but lacked the wow factor we were hoping for. Still, the overall dining experience was pleasant. In terms of pricing, cocktails are around 200 pesos each, which we felt was fair for the quality and taste. In summary, Zu Zu is a great place to relax, enjoy excellent cocktails, and indulge in some fantastic appetizers. While the mains didn’t quite hit the mark, the experience overall was enjoyable. We'd definitely recommend it for a casual evening with friends or a date night. Rating: 4.5/5

We went in looking at the amazing reviews for dinner. Complimentary bread and black mole(tomatillo maybe) - great Egg plant tacos with burnt black mole - awesome, the eggplant and mole complimented so well. It was a blast of flavors. tepache - good Roasted beetroot appetizer- the cream..the dressing and beetroot went v well. Strawberry agua fresca - good SADLY THAT WAS THE END OF THE GOOD PART OF THE MEAL. Seafood rissoto - bland and flavorless...felt an absolute waste of money. We left over half the dish. Kids Mac and cheese - average Since the waiter asked us if we liked the food and we said we didn't like the risotto...he wanted to comp it with another dish..but we were tired and didn't have the patience to wait. They pulled out a cheese cake for dessert. That was dry and we didn't like that either. I'd advise to choose dishes wisely and beware the waiters are heavily pushy asking you repeatedly to order drinks..which I didn't like much. So between the pushiness and bad main course...we came back dissatisfied. I wouldn't go back another time.

The place looks good, but that's about it. I asked which cocktail was the sweetest and she said all were sweet. I insisted on the most sweet, and she insisted they were all the same because they had syrup. 🤦‍♀️ so I chose a random one. The best part was the tajin on the rim. It tasted like liquid IcyHot. Literally didn't want to drink it. We ordered a shrimp dish for an entrance and the shrimp were not cooked thoroughly, & it was too spicy to eat, but didn't have a chile mentioned on the menu. Last straw was the music. On a Friday night, they were playing Jack Johnson and slow, sad Country music. We stayed longer than we wanted to, hoping the vibe would change. All that did was put me more to sleep. Do not recommend.
