La Guarecita Tostadores de Café y Cacao — Restaurant in Michoacán

This is a lovely Cafe with a number of different spaces to sit and enjoy a coffee and/or a meal. There's indoor spaces, a rooftop courtyard, and seating in the lane off the main street. Very pleasant in each. There's a good selection of food to choose from and my meal came quickly and tasted great. The coffee is among the best I've had in Mexico (though I've not been generally impressed in Mexico). Whoever made my coffee knew what they were doing. The staff were very attentive and quick even though it's a big venue. There was a guy playing piano very well, though he could probably play a little bit softer for the benefit...

First time here. No welcomed me. I had to ask the woman in the chocolate shop where to sit. The only table left was a 8 chair large table. No problem, but it seemed that none of the staff wanted to deal with me, as if I wasn't in their section or something. The nearest server didn't even come close to my table. The kitchen seemed to be doing well, cranking out food, but there was no manager taking responsibility. The food looked good, that's the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars. I just wish I could of had it. After waiting more than 10 minutes, I walked out. I'll give them another chance, but don't go on...

Comenzaré por los puntos a favor: -la comida y bebidas son deliciosas al igual que los postres. He probado pizzas, hamburguesas, pande muerto relleno, crepas, entre otros. El café es delicioso al igual que el tascalate. Los postres estan bien. El lugar es hermoso, acogedor.

Puntos en contra: por la noche es un lugar hermoso, solo que esta a un lado de un antro y el ruido y el tipo de musica rompen el ambiente de este lugar. La atencion por lo general es algo tardada. Pero para mi lo peor es el servicio cuando pides alimentos para llevar. Tuve ya dos experiencias muy desagradables. Ambas ocaisones espere entre 45min y mas de una hora por una hamburguesa y no, no estaba lleno el lugar, la segunda vez habia solo un par de comensales. Estuve esperando en la entrada, los meseros pasaban y no me decian nada, a un principio me habia comentado que tenia que esperar y ellos me lo llevarian. Pero como nadie me comentaba nada pregunté, y ya tenia rato al parece que estaba listo mi pedido porque ya estaba frio. Solo que ningun mesero se tomaba la molestia de entregarlo. La segunda vez tardaron mas y cuando me la dieron la orden iba incompleta (sin papas, y sin algunos ingrediente en la hamburguesa, no me comentaron nada a un principio de que no tendrian todos los ingredientes o algo, ni cuando me la entregaron) habia tenido un dia muy largo de trabajo y estaba muy cansada para hacer algun comentario. Simplemente ya no volví. Se me hizo una groseria tener a alguien esperando tanto tiempo cuando no tenian tanto trabajo.
