Very good food, for me... But my wife did not like her enchiladas. Otherwise we'd have given a 5 star rating. The singer on the Friday night that we ate there was remarkable and memorable. The service is very good, but... I don't like it when someone begs for a tip because they "have a sick family member." That actually reduces your tip. Just provide good service. That's all. Everyone has problems, and you don't know mine because I didn't tell you.
Overall, great food, hard working staff and chefs, good atmosphere. Thumbs up!
Edit: not concerning the restaurant at all, but be careful outside on the sidewalk! Right in front of the restaurant, a 75 year old woman, accompanied by what appeared to be her son and 10 year old grandson were working as a team, while the old woman was working as a pickpocket. She tried to lift my wallet, even going underneath my shirt to check for a wallet in my back behind my belt, and somehow checking my back pockets (which were empty) before pulling her hand back very quickly to try to avoid being seen. But the police looked it up on the cameras and she will be arrested the next...
Read moreWe fell in love with La Guarecita, the coffee shop, years ago. It is a must stop in Morelia. They brought me a new plate that was green, but still tepid. Nevertheless, the flavors were good. Also, I did not recall the television screens from our last visit, nor the slightly too loud Andrea bocelli. Seems like a search for profits through a common denominator, and I'm not into it. Nevertheless, the space is gorgeous, and the staff is...
Read moreStumbled upon this location. Jose was my waiter and offered great service. I would recommend asking for him. Great young man who is also a student. I ordered one of the regional specialties, “Aporreadillo” it comes in a molcajete boiling. Yum! It was delicious. Jose had recommended it. The coffee here is also amazing. It comes sweetened so I drank how they offered it. I would normally add sugar and cream, but loved it as is. They also have three different types of juice, I went for the green. Also very good and healthy. And although I was stuffed, Jose was kind enough to bring me one churro because I had to try them. I highly recommend this place and please ask for Jose. Tell him, “Manuel...
