Cavas Urbanas — Restaurant in Nuevo León

Located on the lobby “L” floor of the Hyatt Place+House building with free parking levels beneath. Chic and bit romantic place for dinner, with outdoor terrace overlooking the boulevard below and opposing skyscrapers.

I tried their seared tuna pasta and chicken soup with rice. I thought the tuna pasta was a tad too salty but still good food with great ambiance; treat this like a nice restaurant for a nice outing or meal. Service can be somewhat of a hit-or-miss. It seemed like a couple of the reception/front desk and server personnel are new or not quite experienced with their offerings or systems yet. There’s also a bar here with liquor and a bunch of wines and a separate appetizer/snack menu. Pretty cool how it goes from a bar to a lounging area to a full service restaurant....

Buen trato por parte de algunos meseros, siento que el mesero que nos atendió lo hacía de mala gana. Llegó y nos preguntó "¿Qué van a ordenar?". Sin habernos traído el menú, la mesa que escogimos se tambaleaba y al pedir algo para ponerle lo hizo muy a fuerza. Escuché comentarios de la comida excelente, pero al pedir una tampiqueña y carne a las finas hierbas, estaban tibias casi frías. Al final me di cuenta que nos habían cobrado el mismo platillo.

Tuvimos la oportunidad de asistir a una cata con maridaje en Cavas Urbanas y estuvo todo excelente, las tapas son muy ricas y los vinos muy buenos. Después aprovechamos para ordenar unos platillos para cenar y todo delicioso. Sin duda volveremos para algún otro evento y para seguir probando los platillos y vinos.
