Flame — Restaurant in Nuevo León

Another meal, another steakhouse. As a carnivore, going to a steakhouse is always a treat. A good, better if great piece of meat cooked over a fire is always a welcome meal.

My friends and colleagues chose this restaurant. I never been, so went not. The restaurant is at one of the nicer shopping centers in town. The restaurant was not busy when we got there. In fact, we were the first peeps there. The staff was friendly and we got seated promptly.

We opted to eat family style. We ordered 3 different cuts of beef cooked to medium temperature. We all shared the starters and desserts, too.

The steaks were fine. Was it a good steak? Indy opinion it was average. No bursting flavors like a great aged primed steak, but will do. I preferred a little more browing/crusting for my steak.

The octopus was good. Put it together with a tortilla, sauce, and queso to make a taco.

The desserts were fantastic. Yeah, I have a sugar tooth, and desserts are a weakness. Chocolate cake was rich. The cheesecake with flamed bananas was also very good with a unique flavor. The cheesecake was a it frozen when brought out, but once thawed a little, it was fine.

If in the mall and looking for some meat, give them a try. If looking for for dining with premium steak, not your place. Family friendly and price is...

The cauliflower was delicious, but the service wasn’t great. I went with my girlfriend and she ordered 3 cauliflower, but the waiter mistakenly thought that she ordered Brussel sprouts. I asked whether we still had to pay for those since we didn’t want them, but the waiter said we still had to pay for them because the kitchen still made the Brussel sprouts. The cauliflower we first ordered had a staple in it and the waiter just apologized, but didn’t do anything else besides that. The flavor of the meals and drinks are formidable, for example the mojitos had a good flavor and very fresh. The appetizers were very good specially the roast potato with cheese was excellent. The main courses were excellent good taste and the seasoning were good. I asked for Rib-eye sandwich and my boyfriend ask for a Lasagna with pastor and we had a good experience. The thing is where I cannot rate the restaurant with five stars it was the delay of the service.
