If you’re in Monterrey and want to treat yourself to some top-tier Sonoran cuisine, Mochomos might just be your next. Let me break it down for you so you know what you're walking into. The vibe here is on point. The decor has that northern Mexican flair that feels authentic without trying too hard. It’s the kind of place where you can kick back with friends, share a laugh, and still feel like you're somewhere special. Perfect for date nights, birthdays, or even just because you’re craving good food. Mochomos specializes in Sonoran dishes, and wow, they deliver. The rib eye Mochomos? Juicy, flavorful, and well cooked. Their tortillas de harina are a must-try, and don’t even get me started on the pear salad. And for dessert? The chocolate sphere is not just dessert, it’s a whole experience. Veggies felt a little too “diet portion.” Just something to keep in mind. Service mostly stellar, servers friendly and attentive attitudes. These folks know how to make you feel welcome and ensure your meal goes off without a hitch. On the flip side, I have had to ask for the check multiple times, which is a little annoying but not a dealbreaker. Portion sizes for certain sides seem skimpy, and the quality control on dishes isn’t always 100%. Also, waiting for the bill isn’t exactly the grand finale anyone wants after an otherwise fantastic meal. So, go for the ambiance, stay for the rib eye and tortillas, and finish strong with that chocolate sphere. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Just cross your fingers you catch them on a good night and be prepared for a little patience if the service slows down. Still, for authentic Sonoran flavor, Mochomos is...

If you're looking for a dining experience that combines elegance, exceptional service, and exquisite flavors, Mochomos in San Pedro, Monterrey, is a must-visit. This upscale restaurant offers a modern twist on traditional Mexican cuisine, with a focus on high-quality meats, fresh seafood, and innovative preparations.

Upon entering, you're greeted by a sleek, contemporary ambiance that’s both inviting and refined. The restaurant's design features warm lighting, stylish furnishings, and a cozy atmosphere that makes it perfect for both casual meals and special occasions.

The star of the show at Mochomos is undoubtedly the food. The Arrachera is a standout a perfectly cooked, tender cut of beef that’s full of flavor and accompanied by delicious sides. Their Ribeye is another highlight, cooked to perfection. The aguachiles were the best!!!

The drink menu is equally impressive, featuring a diverse range of tequila and mezcal options, as well as a thoughtful selection of wines that pair beautifully with the dishes. The attentive staff is well-versed in the menu and eager to suggest the best pairings to elevate your dining experience.

What really sets Mochomos apart is the attention to detail and the care they put into every dish. The presentation is impeccable, and each plate is a visual and culinary delight. Whether you're enjoying a romantic dinner, celebrating a special occasion, or simply indulging in a night out, Mochomos offers an unforgettable dining experience in the heart of San Pedro. Our server Enrique Savala...

I recently dined at Mochomos in Monterrey, Mexico, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The menu is a celebration of flavors, and everything we tried was truly amazing.

We sampled several different beef and chicken dishes, each cooked to perfection with a depth of flavor that really stood out. The cauliflower was a surprising highlight—roasted to a tender crispness that made it impossible to stop eating. The sesame fried cheese was another standout, with a delightful crunch and rich, savory taste that paired beautifully with the other dishes.

The service was also top-notch. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. They were quick to offer recommendations, and every suggestion was spot on.

We ended the meal with a chocolate dessert that I can’t recommend highly enough. It was the perfect sweet finish to a wonderful dinner—rich, indulgent, and beautifully presented.

If I had one small complaint, it would be the atmosphere. While the restaurant is stylish and modern, the lighting was a bit too dim for my taste. It created a moody vibe, but I would have preferred a slightly brighter setting.

Overall, Mochomos is a must-visit for anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience in Monterrey. The food, service, and attention to detail make it a...

Hostess in front - not too friendly but they’re young ladies. Our waiter was great and super attentive. We ordered the following: Augachile de ribeye: 10/10 - meat was super tender Chicharrón de ribeye: 3/10 - super salty and very hard to chew. Pulpo a las brasas: 6/10 - I liked the potatoes that came with this but the seasoning was a little too salty for me. Pastel del plátano: 7/10 - I wish it was cooled but not too sweet and pretty good banana flavor. Pastel de chocolate: 7/10 - this was too sweet for me but if it’d be perfect for someone who really loves chocolate. The ambience was nice. Low lighting and somewhat romantic. We’ll be back to try other dishes as we believe we ordered the wrong things and weren’t able to really enjoy the food. Be sure to request patio seating so you can enjoy the window views.
