Bacco — Restaurant in Oaxaca

This place must be new. Decent pizza in the area, if you're willing to wait a LONG time. We arrived and they told us there were no tables, we could find some space around the restaurant to wait and they would call us for the next table. There are a ridiculously small amount of tables with a big amount of open spaces. The place was full so why not add more tables??

They also said live music at 8pm. There was no band until 9:15pm. They close at 11. Ridiculous.

Service was atrocious. Along with waiting so long for a table we had to wait another 15 minutes for the server to bring us a menu, 10 minutes to order drinks, and another 5 to order food. The pizza came out warm at best, closer to cold. It looked like it could have been good would it have been hot. If the crust wasn't burnt to a crisp. Sigh.

I had the strip, it was really good though a shade over cooked. The service was friendly but inconsistent, one person ordered a veggie pizza (they are a vegetarian) and was served anchovies and we ordered a second pitcher of lemonade which never showed up which was a shame because it's delicious. I got the fondant (vulcan de chocolate) for desert, it was ok but the chocolate was thick and it was the only fondant I've ever been served in my life in which ice cream wasn't available. The coffee ended up being served much later than the dessert and it was tasteless. The four stars I gave the meal were on the strength of the main and they are well earned. Place looks gorgeous. Seated at the bar while waiting for the table. Ordered drinks, but drinks never came. When reordered with another waitress after a while, they came. My food was excellent. My friend’s food never came. When asked, they said she never ordered food. ?!? So when she finally got her food, it looked amazing, but flavors were flat and not so fresh. When we tried to order dessert, waitress said that we can’t have dessert because supposedly the“kitchen is closed”.
