Les Délices — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Upon entering Les Délices you feel like a guest that’s been invited to somebody’s home where they’ll cook for you. The decor is super cute and homely and decorated with art work, shelves with trinkets and ornaments which I suspect the owner has collected on his travels around the world. There’s even a small sofa in there. Apart from being an inviting place to hang out, the staff are really sweet and accommodating too. The menu is a small but well considered french menu consisting of variations of things like Croque Monsieur/Madame which are delicious! My boyfriend and I had the green juice both times we came here - really good! This time I had the eggs with smoked salmon and cream cheese, served with potatoes, bread and carrots. We had heard good reviews of this place and wanted to go there the last time we were in Zipolite following hurricane Agatha. Unfortunately it was still too soon. So glad they've made it because it's one of the better cafes around. Great espresso/coffee drinks and french food. I had the Sailor Croquet, a seedy crusty bread with salmon, cream cheese, spinach with a sunnyside egg on top. My wife had eggs with veggies. Both came with potatoes and al dente sliced carrots.

Hugo and the others are quite friendly and charming. Tables are dispersed in a lovely garden setting. Their cats roam the area, so no dogs allowed.
