This evening was an absolute delight as I had the pleasure of treating friends and family to dinner at Q. From the moment we arrived, we were swept away by the mesmerizing view that unfolded before us, showcasing a stunning 75% expanse of the beach. It was an experience that felt truly special and set the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
What truly set Q apart was the impeccable service. It was a refreshing departure from the standard Mexican service one might expect. The attentiveness and professionalism of the staff added an extra layer of enjoyment to the evening.
Now, onto the culinary journey we embarked upon. As the appetizers and main courses made their way to our table, it was as though a spell had been cast. Laughter and chatter transformed into exclamations of delight as each dish surpassed our expectations. With six different diners indulging in five different meals, it speaks volumes that every single person at our table was not just satisfied, but genuinely raving about the quality of the cuisine.
Of course, it's worth noting that Q offers an elevated dining experience, and with that comes a price point reflective of the exceptional service and food. While it may not fall into the category of a typical Mexican budget-friendly meal, the value you receive in return is more than worth it. Indeed, the same meal for six with wine could easily command triple the price elsewhere.
For those seeking a truly memorable dining experience in Zipolite, I cannot recommend Q highly enough. While reservations may not be required, I suggest embracing the opportunity to elevate the occasion by dressing for the occasion. After all, fine dining is as much about the ambiance and presentation as it is about the food itself.
Spread the word: Q is an absolute gem and undoubtedly one of the best dining establishments in the area. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to add it to your list of must-visit restaurants. Trust me, you...
Read moreWe went to Q last Thursday and had a very nice evening with good food. However, we do have some small side notes to make it even better. The quality of the food overall was good, but we thought the dishes were a bit too heavy and/or too big. For example, we got bread on the house which was drenched in olive oil but was also accompanied by a butter sauce. Id say put the olive oil aside and let people choose themselves. Because both was really heavy. Although the butter was delicious:) We were happy that we decided to share our entrada, because the mains were both huge. We ordered the chicken and the fish of the day, both delicious, but especially the chicken in too much butter sauce(?) was very heavy. There was no way we could take a dessert although we are both great eaters. So altogether the food was great but really too much (as actually in a lot of places here in Mexico).
Service was really good! Just the red wine was a bit coldish when it arrived and we got our main course immediately after we finished our entrada. Overall, really good experience and pretty sure it is going to be an excellent...
Read moreHad multiple amazing meals at Q. Cesar the chef is amazing. We had a chef’s tasting menu for our friend’s birthday that couldn’t have been better. There was a cauliflower purée that came with a couple dishes that stole the show. We had to ask how it was made and Cesar made it sound simple but it was beyond delicious. The rib eye is the best steak I’ve had in years. The fresh fish in chile and passion fruit blew me away, and I generally am not much of a fish eater. The pulpo was also something to be sure and try. We were adventurous and tried some traditional Oaxaca delicacies and they did not disappoint. I could go on about the food but the service was also fantastic. During the day they have a clubhouse restaurant by the pool that serves the best shrimp tacos, and I learned that I love a chelada. Who knew beer and lime juice with ice and a salted rim was the most refreshing drink on a hot day? If you’re in Zipolite don’t miss this place. You...
