I've visited this store several times, and each visit has been different, largely due to the varying levels of service.
One server, a Mexican guy, was genuinely kind and attentive, clearly knowledgeable about beer, and even took the time to chat with me about different options.
However, my experiences with a different server, a young Mexican woman, have been less positive. On one visit, she seemed visibly upset, possibly having just cried, and there was an uncomfortable atmosphere with noticeable personal drama. This affected the service, as she was somewhat pushy about asking for tips, even though I was buying beer to-go. On a later visit, she was entirely focused on chatting with her boyfriend and simply ignored me, which felt quite unprofessional.
Additionally, I noticed that she charged me extra for paying by card, adding a ‘card processing fee’—a practice that is, in fact, not allowed under Mexican law. Her overall demeanor and these questionable charges impacted my experience negatively.
Aside from the inconsistency in service, I do appreciate the store’s beer selection. They offer a good range of Mexican and American craft beers, which makes it worth a visit. However, the service quality, depending on who’s working, could use some...

One of the few, if any bars that offer a selection of premium wines, spirits and my personal favorite, the IPA draft (a rare commodity in Puerto Escondido)
The owner (Brett) is especially proud of a recent edition, the Big Green Egg, positioned on a serene street facing patio..where he creates masterful NY strip steaks, cooked to perfection, along with organic seasonal vegetables slow roasted for a mouth watering experience.
The patio is complete with white linen tablecloths, a ceiling fan, and incredible outdoor music.. also note, smoking is permitted (one of the very few establishments that do so) the indoor seating at the bar offers a cool, refreshing a/c breeze, while the interior surrounds you with a calvicade of wine offerings.
From an eclectic mix of hand selected wines and bottled beer, his market satisfies any decerning palate, these are not from the local grocery chain or corner convenience store, and prices are more than reasonable.
Absolutely stop by for a a glass or two, make reservations for dinner, Brett and his staff will ensure your complete...

My girlfriend and I are rare wine drinkers, but picky when we do and we had a bottle of the pam x granache. It was superb. There is a huge list of natural wines.
We met the owner Brett and his daughter while we drank, the name La Bruja holds a great story, and really enjoyed the atmosphere. My girlfriend and I shared a few things on the menu, in particular the thinly sliced seared rib eye was absolutely delicious. You’ll want two.
Highly recommend stopping by here for a glass (or a bottle), delicious fare, and...
