Pizzería Rústica sucursal Alcalá — Restaurant in Oaxaca

Came in for a mezcal and pizza. Once I got inside it was too hot to eat pizza so I asked for a mineral water with the mezcal instead. The sever said it was a restaurant and I needed to order food. ?? Uhh, okay buddy. He was pretty rude. After dropping the mezcal he went outside across the street in direct view of the door and was on his phone, belly hanging through tight Shirt buttons and all. He never came back inside. I was the only customer. I had to go to the counter and ask for the bill. The cashier there was not friendly either. It was a very unnecessarily uncomfortble experience. I would have tipped well for my drinks and considering no one else was in the place, you think they’d be happy with a customer. Major disappointment. Not sure I want to spend my money here again but if so, I’ll get a slice of pizza from the window...

The place I rented was next to pizzeria Rustico, so I got to know it well. Their pizza is excellent, and the staff and service are wonderful! A friend and I had a Mezcal tasting there for significantly less than other places advertised arranged by Daniel, who is always welcoming and amazingly helpful. The food here is okay. I had the seafood spaghetti and it was tasty enough and it had plenty of seafood. The food seemed fresh however the "spaghetti " was more like a flat noodle.
