Querida Grase
As a treasure hunter, you must know
My heart was longing for gold
That's when I went to Mexico
To find riches before I grow old
Soon I heard the legends speak
Of a treasure like none before
In Oaxaca, at its peak
Lay all that I wanted and more
My heart was filled with fire
As I ventured into the wild
Through mountain and jungle I climbed higher and higher
I found Oaxaca and smiled
And yet the fear of doubt set in
As I searched for my precious gold
The temples had no treasure within
This was not what was foretold
The flame in my heart went out
As I made my way back with a frown
I was sad, dissapointed, and in doubt
I needed a night on the town
It was then that it occurred
A peculiar thing at first
The girl was harmless, I was assured
Yet I found myself immersed
Her eyes were bright like opals
Shining vividly in the night
And then there were her vocals
Her song set my heart alight
Next there was her hairlocks
A tapestry of dark cashmere
Her figure knocked me off my socks
Finer than all the statues here
But the biggest prize was her charm
She was smart, she was fun, she could dance
She took my stunned self by the arm
And danced me into a trance
It was then that I finally understood
That prophecy of Mayan gold
The prizes of Oaxaca were no good
The real treasure was...
Read moreOaxaca as a city is really making a name for itself as the home of beautifully crafted cocktails, and Viajero Oaxaca Rooftop Bar 100% delivers on this front.
All the staff are great at what they do but barman Levi's skills are next level.
He literally attaches his entire identity to making amazing cocktails. Seriously, his ego won't allow him to make a bad one.
And a great drink is made even better by wonder views, right? This roof top bar is stunning. You get views of both the mountains and the city So gorgeous!
But speaking of views, Levi's not bad to look at either. My mate described him as hot, I think beautiful is more accurate.🔥
Either way incredible drinks, great vibes and if you actually want to leave the hot/beautiful barman alone long enough to talk to the other people there you'll find a really great vibe.
The staff, volunteers, guests and customers are welcoming and friendly, and activities are held on a regular basis. A great way to...
Read moreThe view is very nice, cocktails are good and the bar service on point, but food I ordered was abysmal.
I ordered a cochinital pibil bowl: 45 minutes of waiting time total when the rooftop had 4 clients with nobody ordering food except myself. Their justification: The time to cook rice (really?). Then, cochinital pibil for them means boneless pork chops. This was not slowly cooked, nor marinated. Just little and dry pork cubes with no flavor. This is an insult to Yucatan's slow-roasted pork dish. It has literally nothing to do with it, not even close.
Total 500 pesos for two (good) drinks, one beer and a very sad bowl. At very least with a view. I therefore suggest you ask about how they cook the food you order ;)
Leaving 3 stars as it certainly isn't worth...
