Very disappointed after my last two visits to this location (20/09/24 & 13/07/24). I’ve been to this location multiple times and have purchased monthly, weekly and daily passes. I wanted to purchase a day pass, but I was told by the front desk attendant they didn’t offer those. Only weekly, or monthly. I found it hard to believe since I’ve purchased one, a month ago.
The other ordeal was when I came with a friend. I purchased a day pass and my friend a monthly subscription. The front desk attendant, at the time attempted to charge the monthly subscription to my card on file ($85) but fortunately my bank declined it. After doing so my card information was saved to my friend’s account. We spent 30+ minutes at the desk to get my card “removed” from their account and to add a new card. After everything, the front desk attendant said everything was fixed. 1 month later I received a ($54) charge which was my friend's monthly subscription.
I had to go back that morning before a flight. It was the same front desk attendant as last time but he was acting confused and couldn’t remember the situation from last time. He showed me, my friend’s account in which my credit card was still on file.(which I took a picture of) He said he needed a manager to remove it and to dispute the charge...
Read moreThe staff at World Gym are always very kind and welcoming, which creates a great atmosphere. The gym itself is very clean and well-organized, making it a pleasant place to work out.
However, there are a few areas that could be improved. Some members train without towels, and many leave their bags scattered around the machines instead of using the lockers. This can make the gym floor feel cluttered and uncomfortable for others. It would be helpful if towel use and locker policies were more strictly enforced.
Also, there are only female cleaning staff in the men’s bathroom, which can lead to uncomfortable situations when people are changing clothes. Having male staff assigned during certain hours could make a difference.
Lastly, while some trainers are attentive, others seem more focused on chatting than offering assistance. Hopefully, more attention will be given to those who may need guidance during their workouts.
Overall, it’s a solid gym with great potential, and with a few adjustments, it could be...
Read moreSeems like a decent well equipped gym (though only one rack) but staff is not very helpful and they have an extremely outdated setup. I wanted to sign up for a monthly membership for 3 months which was fine - the price would be 1000p a month + 500p sign up fee, credit card only.
However, since THEIR system was not working, I was unable to pay and could pay tomorrow. I was not allowed to pay for the month in cash, or pay for a day pass with cash, or even used the gym for free today even though they knew I had the intention of returning for 3 months.
After traveling 40 countries to gyms all around the world, I’ve never been to a gym so inflexible and unwilling to take someone’s business. When I expressed my desire to not miss my workout and that I would have to sign up at the nearby Evolve gym, I would dismissed and told “sorry, bye”.
Evolve seems to have more friendly staff, better price, easier access, more racks & machines & amenities, and the music is only slightly more unbearable - I recommend...
