I thought I’d had really good ceviche, then I started coming here. We’ve come at least a dozen times and service has always been very friendly, attentive and professional. Though we’ve tried a couple of other seafood dishes and brought friends who have ordered from all over the extensive menu, we can’t seem to stray very far from the shrimp ceviche. The “Grande” size is perfect to fill two adults to popping with unbelievable freshness. I also once have ordered pescado frito entero and it was dirt cheap and deep fried to perfection. It was huachinango or snapper. The beer is ice cold and 30 pesos, and though the selection is limited I happen to like the three or four beers they offer. A couple of times we’ve been there have been two salsa music singers set up. There’s a convenient hand-washing station and clean restrooms. The restaurant is open-air and, as such, has never been anything but breezy and comfortable because it’s covered but wide open. I’m not sure about whether they offer any desserts but haven’t notice any on the menu. If this place were on 5th or 10th it’d be absolutely packed all the time but thank goodness it’s not! It’s the very first place we take friends when they get into town. A really unbelievable value. Can’t wait to visit again and will update with more...
Read moreI liked the place a lot and in my opinion it's one of the best ones in Playa Del Carmen.
The fish soup is very tasty. The same goes for tacos (other dishes I didn't try). The soup was delivered boiling, so I was drooling a bit before I could actually eat it :D Portions are quite big, but they pack to go. Drinks were OK too, nothing superspecial, but tasty. Atmosphere - always busy place, some days live musicians are playing. Payment - possible to split the bill, but you need to inform the waiter right away. Otherwise, they will refuse to split it later. Staff - nice service, friendly. Prices are good especially after you see the size of the portions. Overall, it's a really...
Read moreBad service. Our waiter refused to give us separate bills. We were 7, friends, not a family. And each of us was paying for themselves. In the end, it was a nightmare trying to figure out who pays for what. As to be expected, we made a mistake in calculations, and his 10% tip was short of 40 pesos on the 2850 pesos bill. The waiter adamantly was demanding 40 pesos! It is very hot and noisy. The sink for washing hands was filthy with trash and long hair. The food was average. It is not worth...
