Had breakfast here and ordered the enchiladas. They were nice, a little differently made than what I am used to—but still very nice. The atmosphere is nice, quiet and calm. The service here is wonderful. I had my coffee refilled many times, never had to ask. While planning out my day, I also ordered a croissant with Nutella to have with my coffee.
UPDATE: went this morning and what an awful time. We spoke Spanish to the server when ordering—he told us my partner could do an iced Americano with caramel. Came back with a luke-warm watered down coffee. No where on the menu does it say sour cream on the Chilaquiles (when describing what it comes with) so he had to re-order without. No coffee refills. Nothing we asked for (sala roja) came to the table. Also, from when I was there last, my enchiladas came with 5, this time it came with 3 and still charged full price. The service was awful, no one was getting what they asked for—so much so, we witnessed another couple walk out on their bill and chased by MGT. This experience turned me off from this establishment and will not be coming back. Super unfortunate because I really loved my first experience here. Truly...

Interestingly, they do have English and Spanish menus, and the first page is alcoholic drinks options.
It was breakfast time, so I ordered two waffles with bacon.
I received the waffles one on top of the other, but only maple syrup and a couple of pieces of fruit on the top waffle only, and three tiny pieces of bacon (very overcooked bacon). 2 thin slices of banana, one small raspberry and one small blackberry, and three very small, thin slices of apple.
Goodness knows what they did with the rest of the banana and apple, rasps and blackberries, but I felt that the serving was very mean. I asked for more maple syrup and it was indeed supplied.
I also ordered mocha, but I was disappointed with that too.
Only one family eating when I arrived, so they weren't rushed off their feet...
They do have free WiFi, but I think I'll try the new place next door...
Read moreFirst time in my life I can without hesitation give 5 starts to everything in a restaurant. We went there for early dinner for the fish tacos, 2 adults and one five year old and it didn't disappoint. The food was fast and excellent, the place is spotless clean and the owner himself was taking care of us and making sure the personnel was bringing our stuff swiftly. Prices are standard for Playa I would say, maybe a bit cheaper than the average rip off of most places. The place is also very nicely decorated. It is normally not crowded, just normal amount of people and you can eat outside no AC and inside with AC, your choice. On top of the great food, they have fresh juices for 80 pesos take away. These are real natural juices, no sugar, made in the moment and with fresh fruit and veggies. This is a very rare thing in Mexico where packaged juices full of unnecessary insane amounts of sugar, preservatives and additives are, to say the...
