Our Vacation Highlight in Playa de Carmen!
What an incredible dining experience we had at this hidden gem in Playa de Carmen! From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we knew we were in for something special.
First and foremost, the food was absolutely divine. Every dish was a masterpiece of flavors and presentation. It's evident that the chefs here are culinary artists who take great pride in their creations. From the appetizers to the dessert, every bite was a burst of deliciousness. The seafood was fresh, the spices were perfectly balanced, and the variety on the menu was impressive. We were in gastronomic heaven!
However, it wasn't just the food that made our evening memorable. Our waiter, Juan, played a crucial role in ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. He was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. He guided us through the selection, offering fantastic recommendations that suited our preferences. Juan's warmth and professionalism made us feel like valued guests, and we appreciated his efforts to make our evening special.
The ambiance of the restaurant was also delightful. The soft lighting, soothing music, and well-appointed decor created a cozy and romantic atmosphere that was perfect for our vacation date night.
In summary, our visit to this restaurant in Playa de Carmen was the highlight of our vacation. We couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. If you're in the area and looking for a place to enjoy outstanding food, impeccable service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere, don't miss the opportunity to dine here. This menu is everything wrong with copying social media. We ordered based on server recommendations the only item that was good was the hard-shell short rib tacos. The arancini while crispy lacked flavour and the sauce overly acidic. The corn ribs were inedible they just cut them in four pieces and did not remove the core. The lachmajun was dry and cold there was barely a tsp of tahini on the side. The quinoa chicken was so hard my wife almost broke her teeth so she exchanged for barbacoa tacos which were definately not beef cheek and were not smoked just stewed beef. Lastly we ordered a souffle which was definitely not a souffle. I am not certain but it was likely a commercially made product.
The service seemed nice although the pace of service did not make sense. Three main issue I take is the recommendations he made and the rush to sell us super expensive water not telling us there were other options.
Ambiance was cliche but nice the chairs were not for larger humans but it...

They started service with an amuse of shrimp ceviche. Definitely one of the better flavor profiles of the evening. We started with some oysters from Baja that were pretty good raw but we also tried them grilled with chorizo. The appetizers here are probably the best things. We had the raviolis (which were actually capeletti) and roasted bone marrow which were both delicious.
For entrees we had the Wagyu filet, the fish of the day (grouper), and the grilled prawns. Everything was delicious. One thing to be weary of is how thin the steak cuts are. Slightly different from your standard American steak house cut. The grouper and prawns were both very well cooked and delicious.
Dinner was topped off with a roasted pear and petit fours. Overall very good, but not excellent enough to travel out of your way for. The service was excellent. Definitely one of the better and nicer places in the...
