I have been to this place several times and I really want to like it. The fish and shrimp tacos from Barba Negra are fantástico, especially with the diablo (spicy but so worth it) and the baja. Really well done. The tamarindo drink is also huge and delicious.
Unfortunately, they need to stop letting the bartenders control the music with what they personally want to hear. In the middle of the meal they turned on incredibly loud, terrible dubstep. Like so loud it's difficult to have a conversation or hear the waiter. Nobody walks by and sees the nice decor and ambiance of the foodie market and wants it to sound like a "bad club at 2am".

Read moreQuite expensive depending on how long you’ve been in Mexico- we’re used to getting 5 tacos for 55 pesos, they’re charging 100 pesos for 3. The Diablo fish tacos are quite tasty, but I was definitely still hungry afterwards. Beers are 55 pesos but they also charge a service fee, so ended up being 125 for two beers. I think if you’re on an island vacation and you wanna ball out, this is a great place to do it! But if you’re a long term traveler, I would say skip this place and go eat at the street carts or many other mexican restaurants...
