The worst experience I’ve had in my life. After the food was served, 4 waiters gathered near us about 2 meters away standing in a line and just watched us eat and laughed. After 5 mins they were still staring and laughing at us, I couldn’t stand it anymore so I looked at them directly, and my boyfriend stared back at them too, then they all left and got back to their duty. It was extremely disrespectful and disturbing, we felt like we were being watched like an animal. When we got the bill, the bill was printed but they changed the printed price by hand (with a pen), it was changed from 94 to 188, and the total price is 216. They did not say anything and just gave me this bill. So I asked what s with the 15% and what is with the hand-written price. The waiter said they ‘forgot’ to put in one order on the machine so they added the price by hand, and the 15% is tips, which was never made clear to us when they gave us the bill. It is the first time I’ve been to a restaurant and they added 15% tip automatically without explaining to us first. And I highly suspect they only submit one order to the restaurant, and kept the money we paid them (we paid by cash) for the other order (94) to themselves since it s not recorded by the system. Overall I had the most terrible restaurant experience in my life. This entire dinner just felt like a scam. For any tourist out there, I highly suggest you go somewhere else where has the basic human decency to treat people from different backgrounds with respect...

This place completely blew us away. El Takazo Jr isn’t just a restaurant, it’s the kind of spot that makes you feel like you’ve found something special. We ordered the fried fish, gringas, quesadilla, and camarones chipilín, and every bite was incredible. The food was fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with love. The drinks were also delicious, refreshing and a perfect match to the meal.
What really made the experience unforgettable was the service. Marin took amazing care of us so attentive, kind, and thoughtful. Angel also came by to check in on us, which meant a lot. They even made small changes to the dishes just to accommodate us, which says so much about how much they care about their guests. It’s rare to find service like this, genuine and full of heart.
The vibe of the place is super chill, clean, and welcoming. The kind of spot you just want to hang out at. Huge thank you to the entire team, especially the cooks in the kitchen. We truly felt the love in everything you served.

When we showed up and I told them we wanted guacamole without cilantro...and they came back to me after I ordered to ask if I wanted cilantro on my tacos...we knew we made the right choice.
Then they organized our belongings so they could properly serve our food...that was our second clue this was the right choice.
Then the food. Not gonna lie, their guacamole and horchata was nothing to write home about. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t great. The Jamaica; however, was good!
But their ENTREES. Amazing! My friend said this is the best shrimp burrito she ever had. The shrimp was PLENTY and FLAVORFUL...the best she ever had and we were on a SEARCH for bomb seafood options for her. The carne Asada tacos were straight FIRE. and my other friend had to get seconds of her al pastor gringa because of how good it is (spoiler: the second one was even better than the first). The sauces provided like the chipotle mayo were amazing as well. The service was prompt, flavorful, and they always cleaned during.
Overall, the service was great, prompt, and kind. The food was simply wonderful.
