La Braceria Tulum — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

My family and I booked this restaurant for Thanksgiving 2024. We come to Tulum every year for Thanksgiving and we're looking to switch it up and find a new hidden gem. Boy did we! We made a reservation via WhatsApp and they had a lovely table in the front waiting for us. The restaurant is just off the main road and we found parking directly out front. We started with a bottle of Malbec and the queso with sausage. Our children absolutely lovec this and the incredible cheese pulls (as did we)! For dinner, we all split the large mixed grill, extra short ribs and a side of mashed potatoes. It was HUGE! The meat was delivered on a tabletop grill that made for an incredible experience. We started with some of the thinner meats and they were perfectly medium rare just as we asked. It was fun because the thicker meats you leave on the grill at your table for a bit longer to cook. it was fun to be interactive at the table. We eat steaks all over the world and my children even claimed to be super impressed! The meats were seasoned perfectly in the presentation was incredible. Also, none of this would have been possible without our amazing server Abelardo. he answered all of our questions and when the smoke from the grill shifted, he helped us move it so we were comfortable. At the end of the meal, the kids were given complementary ice cream and we ordered after dinner drinks. It was all DELICIOUS!!! My daughter turned 18 during our trip to Tulum. She wanted to go to a steakhouse. I made a reservation with them a few weeks prior. They emailed me back and said they would make the dinner special. They really did.

When we got there, the table was covered with rose petals.

The food was quite good. Have I had better steaks at super high quality US steakhouses? Of course, but the meat was high quality, well seasoned and well cooked. We ordered a bunch of grilled vegetables, grilled corn, etc.

The power went out in all of Tulum 6 times during our dinner, sometimes for 5-10 minutes. Victor or Jose held a flashlight over our table so we could continue eating.

They played a bunch of Mexican birthday songs. Victor made flaming drinks. He made a special drink for my daughter. Jose then did a slew of magic tricks for her. They put a candle on a slice of their homemade ice cream cake and we sang happy birthday. They gave her and my other daughter a small bouquet of roses.

Incredibly personal. Very tasty food. Well priced. An unforgettable meal for all the best reasons. My daughter said she would never forget the meal and the event. Great job by La Braceria and...

• an hour ago NEW Dine in Dinner MX$800-900 My wife and I visited tulum for our 15th anniversary, one of of dinners we decided to go with this restaurant as it had SO many amazing reviews. We visited on 4/26 at about 5pm. We went with the creamy spinach as a starter, this was good.. this also where an absurd amount of flies began to attack our food (we sat indoors). attempted to order the aged ribeye, the waiter went back to the kitchen and returned informing us this cut was not available. I decided to go with at bone (pictured).. The Tone didn't appear to be a tbone at all, it seemed to be another cut. Regardless on if it was tbone or not, roughly 40% was edible and the rest was fat and gristle (inedible), the waiter asked if something was wrong with what I left on the plate, we mentioned it was inedible due to fat and gristle.
