Las Hijas de la Tostada Tulum — Restaurant in Quintana Roo

I cannot comment on the meat/fish dishes however the vegetarian food just wasn’t very good. 2 cauliflower tacos (litro cauliflower, avocado on a corn taco), 2 beers (think bottle of Budweiser) and a quesadilla (one small tortilla with melted cheese) for £30 is far too overpriced. - the meat dishes which were lobster/shrimp/beef were £1ish more. There a much better meat based restaurants in Tulum which offer far better vegetarian options. Also, we tipped just shy of 10% by accident and the waiter stood at the end of the table holding the tip basket until we tipped more which came across quite rude and unprofessional from a clearly well established restaurant. My friends said they enjoyed their meat/fish dishes so maybe worth a visit if...

Probably one of the worst meals I’ve had in a while. The burger was great if what you actually wanted was steak tartare. The sangria was basically a layer of wine with a layer of lemonade, with no straw to mix or split the two. The tacos are 90 pesos per one, which is just delightful. Then we had to ask for our bill three times. Thought the server was looking for it, but he was just eating chips and salsa. To be fair, the free chips and salsa were the best part of the meal. The only way I’d go back was if they paid me, a lot of money, all in gold coins.

Our server was friendly herself, everything else… yikes.

I went to this place on a trip to Tulum. I sat at the bar and loved the bartender who was very knowledgeable about tequila, mascal, and Tulum.

The food was great especially the salmon tostada. I also ordered the steak tacos, which were a little dry, and the Shrimp tacos which were good but needed some type of acid to cut the friend batter.

Only issue we had was they had a sign for 2 for 1 cocktails. When the bill arrived, we were then told that the specual was only from 4 to 6 PM even though the sign did not state as such.

Makes no sense also to have a special during dinner time and not 4 to 5 PM...
