Hi. I liked the look and healthy menu choice items of this place so i tried it. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff health restaurant. I liked the overall vibe. I had 3 issues though. #1 - 1st, (not so big of a deal since i was on vacation) is the wait time. I ordered an acai-bowl. This should take 5-10 minutes tops.....especially since there was no other customers in the restaurant. AND NOTE- some places take a long time, yet the quality & taste is soo good that it outweighs the waiting time, so you don't mind. Well, this wasn't the case, which brings me to the 2nd issue. #2 - 2nd, the taste. I mean come on bro, i think any & every restaurant owner should taste the items on their menu before they sell it. This tasted awful & wasn't put together really nicely. It was just TOTALLY BLAND, hardly no flavor. It's unreaL how they actually are selling this. I wish i had taken a photo but i just wanted a quick healthy (tasty) snack to take on the 2 hour road trip to chichen-itza, so this all happened in the car. I'm gonna describe it though. 1st of all, an acai-bowl that i normally get is a fruit salad bowl filled - it's chunky & tasty with nice toppings, right? This was not chunky / it was very soupy. Just like very purple liquidy. It was too much like soup to be an acai bowl - and NOTE, the liquid had pieces of ice in it. So what they must of did was make a sort of smoothie daiquiri type blend in the blender, & then poured it in the bowl. So there were literally pieces of ice in the mixture. NOGO... There was not enough fruit, just some banana & apple. And i was expecting some great tropical fruit like papaya, pineapple, and coconuts since i'm in the Yucatan Mexico area. There was No granola, No honey, & No topping. Again, NO FLAVOR...& again, BLAND. #3 - 3rd, the price. That acai bowl cost about $160 pesos. Bro, that's at least $9 dollars American!!! that's an unreaL price for Mexico. (And actually i wouldn't mind to pay even $10 dollars if it tasted great)
Juice Lover - thanks but this is a 1 star rating. Great location but step it up on the taste, quality, &...
Read moreJuices are excellent and the coconut ceviche is delicious. However, the service is abysmal and the owner is unfriendly and rude. I ordered coffee and ialthough I asked for milk, the waiter did not bring it. Then he said he would get it, but left and never returned. I had to go find him and he still took ten more minutes to bring it. My food took thirty minutes to show up and when it did, my friend did not get her food. After another fifteen minutes, I had to go find the waiter again. He told me it was coming, but nothing showed up. I had to go find the owner who barked at me and then she found the order had never been prepared. No apology. My friend finally got her food but mine was long cold. Again, the owner offered no apology. When I told her I thought the service was terrible, she rolled her eyes and acted as though I was being ridiiculous. I would never give my business to this woman again. This is no way to...
Read moreI have walked past this business quite a few times before stopping in. I ordered a juice. I watched as people walked in after I gave my order. EVERYONE after me was served first. After I waited fir what I felt was way to long for a juice I was getting up to leave. My order taker/ server walked to my table and abruptly put my juice down. When I asked for my check, he said go to the counter. I was appalled at the service but not as much as the check. Their pre determined tip was already added in. NO Tip should ever be just added in. I have been so pleased with the service, the servers and overall atmosphere of every place I have stopped into since arriving in Tulum. Then I hit this place. This place not only offended me, I certainly never need to go near this...
