Taqueria Honorio has undeniably transcended the status of Tulum's hidden gems—it's now a bustling hotspot. Arriving post-noon? Brace yourself for a line that snakes its way through the streets. Once you're finally seated, here's a little insider tip: resist the urge to place your entire food order at once; otherwise, you might find your table inundated with everything all at once. Let me introduce you to my absolute favorites—the Cochinita pibil tacos. These gems are a juicy, flavorful delight that always hits the spot. But wait, there's more! I went off-menu and ordered chilaquiles with cochinita—talk about a game-changer. In my humble opinion, this place reigns supreme among Tulum's taquerias. What's more, the prices are ridiculously reasonable for the quality and taste they deliver. Without a doubt, this spot comes highly recommended if you're in Tulum and seeking an authentic and satisfying...

Probably the best food in Tulum. It’s up there and for the balance of quality food and price I don’t see many restaurants in Tulum beating this place. Tacos are amazing. I’d recommend pork lechon. 2-3 tacos is probably enough for most people. At 30-32 pesos per tacos you’re not beating that price and keeping the same quality of product and taste. The sandwiches are also double good. Staff are smiley, helpful and run off their feet as it’s busy all day long. Give them some credit. The place is always busy so expect a wait if you go at peak lunch hours. Trust me, the wait is worth it. Quality quality food. The atmosphere is a strange one. It’s run down, the A/C is non-existent yet you’re there for the food quality not the view. Eat your food, like it, and come back on another day for more because you realise how good it is compared to other...

If you go anywhere on your visit to Tulum or even Mexico, YOU HAVE TO GO HERE!! We traveled Mexico for 3 weeks from Mexico City along the coast from Cancun to Tulum. This was our favourite place we found to eat! We went back 3 times, it was so good! The Cochinita pibil was delicious! But the star of the show for me was the pork taco with crispy pork skin!! The prices are also insanely reasonable! Writing this review makes my heart ache that I’m not longer within walking distance of this place. Only negative I can say is whilst we ate some woman pulled up on a motor bike outside with a guitar and started singing/howling (unprovoked). When she had finished she came around asking for tips and became rude when people refused to pay for the abuse they had just had to experience. However, she wasn’t related to the restaurant and the...

TULUM MINI GUIDE! A long weekend in the boho capital of Mexico is such a vibe. Below is a guide to my favorite sights, eats & places to stay. What are your favorites in Tulum? BEST SIGHTS AZULIK UH MAY A stunning art installation in the middle of the jungle. Step into a dome that rises up out of the jungle, filled with fluid sculptures, tree branches, plants and ceramics boasting earthy tones of tan, green, brown & white. CENOTE CORAZON Heart-shaped cenote in the middle of the jungle. CENOTE NICTE HA The large natural pool sits surrounded by rocks in the middle of the jungle. The water is incredibly clear, filled with lily pads, fish & underwater gardens. CENOTE VESICA A gorgeous fresh water cenote that has been converted into a day club, surrounded by boho loungers, branch canopies, a sun deck & open air restaurant in the middle of the jungle. COBA RUINS The Mayan complex of pyramids and temples is about an hour from Tulum. These ruins are unique because you can bicycle through the ancient city to the different complexes. THE HAND A massive wooden hand rises six feet out of the jungle for stunning views of the surrounding treetops. TULUM BEACH ROAD This 6 mile dirt path is the beating heart of Tulum, home to the best boutique hotels, restaurants, bars & beach clubs. It truly is a vibe. Explore both by bicycle and on foot. VAGALUME TULUM The boho beach club scene is plentiful in Tulum, and one of the best is Vagalume. An Instaworthy bridge held up by a pair of hands leads to a stretch of beach filled with wooden loungers, luxe grey cushions and boho white umbrellas. VEN A LA LUZ The iconic wooden sculpture created by Daniel Popper towers 33-feet high in the Tulum Sculpture Park. It used to sit on Tulum Beach Road at the entrance to Ahau, but now it’s set a few feet back from the road and requires an “entry fee.” BEST EATS Arca, Casa Banana, Delcielo, Gitano Meze, Hartwood, Kitchen Table, La Zebra, Matcha Mama, Posada Margherita, Raw Love, Taqueria Honorio & Ziggy’s BEST STAYS Ahau, La Valise, La Zebra, Nest Tulum, Radhoo & Zorba Tulum #tulum #tulummexico #ferngully #mexicotravel #cenotes
