It is rare to find a space as incredible as Long Time Coffee. Everything about this magical space deserves 5 stars. Living in Portland, Oregon (who some might call the coffee capitol of the U.S.), I still haven't found a local equivalent that even comes close to Long Time Coffee.
If you want an air-conditioned space with mediocre coffee and pastries, this is not the place for you. If you want a truly Tulum-authentic and cozy atmosphere, and the best cup of coffee you'll ever consume, you've found the right place.
From the moment you peek your head through the speak-easy style wooden door, you will probably be greeted by 'spicy' and 'chopstick' ...they are all bark and no bite, seriously the sweetest doggos you will ever meet. Just know that you have to knock and one of the owners or patrons will let you in! That is the next thing I will say, the owners are two of the sweetest human beings we have ever met. You will not regret getting to know them, as we had the privilege of doing. After you walk in, you will find plenty of places to sit and simply enjoy the space that the owners have clearly poured their love, heart and creativity into.
I cannot recommend the iced americano enough, but literally everything they create is amazing. I love that they made the decision to simplify their menu and only offer really really good coffee.
Out of every experience we had while in Tulum for nearly two weeks, nothing comes close to how much I loved the experiences I had while at Long...
Read moreThis is one special place. And while I want them to be hugely successful. Part of me wants to keep this wonderful little place a secret. A secret from the people that don’t understand what these lovely owners have provided. It’s a safe haven. It’s a place for fellowship and friendship, an amazing cup of coffee, food that is prepared with so much love and care that you can feel it in every bite. This place won’t be for everybody. You do have to enter the locked door with an open mind and an open heart. You’re entering someone’s home and you need to respect the way they run it. There’s a review here from someone that should be ashamed of herself. Entitled self-absorbed and completely clueless. You don’t show up here with your dog and expect to get in. They have their own dogs. You don’t arrive and expect everybody to drop everything to serve you. You need to arrive and surrender and accept and receive and be part of something otherworldly and super special. Brendan and Mor thank you for the gift that you are to this world. May you attract abundance and kindness, respect...
Read moreI came here at 9:50am and could not find the place. Can someone help with this ?
EDIT:
As an owner you should be ashamed of yourself responding like this to a potential customer asking a genuine question. I didn’t call because I don’t speak the best Spanish yet. I only left a rating so I can get assistance with finding the place. I randomly gave 3 stars. I can’t give 5 stars for a place that I haven’t eaten at yet alone couldn’t find. My hope was that I would’ve gotten help with the location, and I would’ve come back and changed the rating after I enjoyed the food. But I guess it wasn’t meant to be. I will be sharing this interaction with people.
For the viewers, I have not had the opportunity to locate and dine at this place. This place is getting ONE star because the owner responded, which I am grateful for but the response was RUDE and...
