Saw a post earlier for why this place does not meet expectations and she was spot on. Pizza is cheap and very tasty. SUPER thin so make sure to get your own and maybe an add on like a salad. Timing was an issue. They have one pizza oven so took 50 minutes to get our two pizzas. Agree with another posting, that they take ABSOLUTELY NO COVID precautions. ZERO. NADA. Hated this and this place came across as elitist because of it. Shared a long table with another couple, which was fine, then waited fifty minutes for our pizza (also fine, though a bit long), then as soon as our pizza was placed on the table and we started to dig in, they came over and said a party of 6 was coming in and, "so you need to move." The other couple had taken off a bit before. They grabbed our pizzas without asking and moved us to this couch with a small table in the dark. Saw the waitress hug someone from the group of 6 and couldn't help roll my eyes at the elitism yet again. Finally, cash only and they DO NOT tell you up front like most places. The owner said it says cash only on the menu and so that's probably on us, but it is not prominent there at all. A nice verbal message when you first arrive is always the best course of action for restaurants with alot of traffic. Oh also, hang on to your drink. They will snatch it before you are done (happened twice to us) and you'll have to snatch it back. They also brought us second drinks when we never asked for it. Overall, will not go back because of...
Read moreLa Pizzine in La Veleta is an absolute gem for anyone seeking delicious pizza and refreshing drinks at a reasonable price. From the moment you walk in, you're enveloped by an amazing atmosphere characterized by vibrant neon lights and captivating artsy designs and statues that are simply mesmerizing. The décor alone is worth a visit, and we couldn't resist taking numerous pictures before even opening the menu.
Federico, who greeted and served us, was outstanding. He promptly took our orders and made sure we felt welcome from the start. For our first time here, we opted for the pepperoni pizza and the chorizo & jalapeño pizza. Both were nothing short of fantastic—bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked.
As we finished our pizzas, we realized we were quite thirsty. Remarkably, Federico anticipated our needs and promptly offered us beverages. We chose a refreshing lemonade, which was the perfect complement to our meal.
One of the highlights of our visit was watching the cook expertly craft our pizzas in a traditional pizza oven right in front of us. This added a wonderful, interactive element to our dining experience.
Overall, La Pizzine offers an enjoyable ambiance, great food, and exceptional service. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be recommending this place to friends. We look forward to...
Read morethis place is nice! amazing service personal!! about the food its a bit more complex, thats why "only" 3 stars. when you drink a couple of beers probably the pizza taste is absolutely fine. as i do not drink i found it very salty - not even in the moment, its in the night after eating when you have to get up all the time and drink water, you know the pizza has been very salty. when you like the pizza as thin as a french tarte flambee - this place is amazing! but when you like a dough which is crafted in the italian typical way by hands trough the air - thats not the place.
one more time, this feedback is for a high standart of pizza lover - if you like an easy evening with friends and beers and pizza, then please support them, as i really think they do a great job on an avarage level. you also get a good dose of loud music - but in tulum that happens in a lot of places starting 7pm . maybe you...
