Café Quería — Restaurant in San Miguel de Allende

This is a fantastic little restaurant with the friendliest owner and staff. We ate in the back courtyard. It can be just a little smoky as that’s where the grill is. The weather was so nice so we preferred to sit there.

We each had different vegetarian tacos, and they were so delicious. Very simple, but with an amazing condiments tray, that also included some diced potatoes, avocado salsa, and many other things. It was exactly what we were looking for. The prices are very reasonable too. We will definitely add this one to our list of places...

Stopped in this place on a Thursday morning to try it out for the first time with a party of four. The customer service was awful, probably due to being short staffed so early but they brought us our coffee plain black and then 20 min later finally bring out the sugar and cream, after our coffee was almost cold( on a cool morning mind you). Also we order two chilaquilles bowls with egg and they bring them out with no egg in it. Por ser nuestra primera ves en este lugar, ya no nos quedaron ganas de regresar. Gracias...

This spot totally surprised me – way cooler than I expected! The staff are super friendly, and there's indoor/outdoor vibes plus a co-working setup with good WiFi. The menu's is simple, but those tacos are tasty, and the coffee game is strong, especially Saul's long black skills with two different beans on offer. Currently, it's in my top 3 coffee spots in SMA – hoping the whole team learns Saul's coffee wizardry for consistent awesomeness. Don't skip the mushroom taco; it's a flavor explosion with options to load up on potato, sauce, onion, and coriander. Exciting news: they're planning to stay open later and drop more menu goodies, including more vegan choices!.

Este lugar me sorprendió totalmente, ¡mucho más genial de lo que esperaba! El personal es súper amigable y hay áreas tanto adentro como afuera, además de un espacio de coworking con WiFi excelente. El menú es relajado, pero esos tacos están buenísimos, y el café es de otro nivel, especialmente las habilidades de Saul con el long black y dos granos diferentes. Actualmente, está en mi top 3 de lugares para tomar café en SMA; espero que todo el equipo aprenda la magia del café de Saul para una excelencia constante. No te pierdas el taco de champiñones; es una explosión de sabores con opciones para llenarlo de papa, salsa, cebolla y cilantro.
