Service was TERRIBLE. The staff is extremely ignorant regarding the menu and it almost killed my friend. My friend has a deadly allergy to peanuts. He asked before eating his food if it contained any. Waiter said no, and as soon as he had a spoonful he had an anaphylactic reaction. He had to leave urgently to get treated. The staff only apologized (as if words were gonna fix it). They did not do anything to try and make things slightly better, but on the contrary, we were still charged for the pozole plate, AND because of lack of good service, the staff never realized we left the money on the check. While walking away, they chased us accusing us of not paying, without even checking the actual check first. Everything about the experience at this place was so unpleasant. Ignorant and irresponsible service at the restaurant. Never coming back, and DO NOT recommend. UPDATE: AND even now, irresponsibly, the owner lied. Everything in their reply is a lie, and they know it. We did ask the waiter first. Then, when went and spoke up about the situation to the manager, and the manager hadn't even realized. Since the manager wasn't there when we received our food and asked about the ingredient, turns out "it never happened", so he says in the reply... Really? Please, so ridiculous. And, we were charged for it. So, next time, train your staff and have the guts to publicly take...
Read moreI had an unforgettable meal at Viva Mexico that deserves all the praise! The pozole rojo was rich, flavorful, and packed with warmth in every spoonful — the perfect balance of spice and comfort. The flautas were perfectly crispy, topped with fresh lettuce, crema, and cheese, adding a delightful crunch to each bite. The freshly made guacamole served in a traditional molcajete and chicharrón from Monterrey paired with crispy blue corn chips, was the ideal complement to the meal.
Not only was the food outstanding, but the service was also fantastic — attentive, friendly, and welcoming, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican flavors and top-notch hospitality, Viva Mexico is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming...
Read moreCool new place. Fun atmosphere. Excellent cochinita pibil tacos just like my friend’s Mayan grandmother in the Yucatán made for me. Very tasty salsas too. Great fast and friendly service. It was packed Saturday night with lots of locals at 8:30pm, so come early on weekends if you don’t want to wait for a table. We are going to go back to try the pozole and other food soon, as everything that the waitress carried by our table looked amazing. I’ll make sure and take a photo of my plate before I eat...
