Bar Mandy — Restaurant in San Miguel de Cozumel

DO NOT GET DRINKS HERE, FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY. OUR DRINKS HAD BROKEN SHARDS OF GLASS IN THEM.

The service alone was terrible, my girlfriend and I walked up to the bar to get drinks, and were instead told we'd have to sit at a table and they'd take our drink orders. We waited about 10 minutes for a waiter to take our orders, then another 10 minutes to get our drinks, and the restaurant was pretty empty.

But the ABSOLUTE WORST PART was after we got our frozen margaritas, my girlfriend kept feeling little sharp bits of something hard in her drink. At first, she just thought they were big chunks of ice, but after finding a few more, we realized her margarita had little shards of broken glass or plastic in it. We complained to the waiter, and he had the nerve to accuse us of putting those little slivers of glass or plastic in our own drinks. We didn't even get offered a new drink to replace the one with the broken glass in it. Don't eat broken glass, go to any of the other 20 bars...

I found this place in 2014. I go there every time my ship docks there. Most of the same folks are still there in 2024 that I met 10 years ago! They don't remember my name, but they remember my face and very bald head and I'm welcomed back warmly each time as they guide me to a table.

HUGE portions of food. I normally get the chicken nachos and cannot come close to finishing them.

You have to walk all the way to the back of the cruise port shops - it's located directly across from the street exit.

And REMEMBER - as first-timers sometimes learn the hard way, THEY ONLY TAKE CASH!!! There's a reason an ATM is located right next to...

After our excursion was over, my husband and I were looking for a place to hang out for awhile that was at or near the cruise terminal, but not too expensive or super busy. This place completely fit the bill. We wanted to eat light, so we just had the chips and guacamole, but it was so good. The service was also great with much attention given to us to make sure we had what we needed. We shared a very large margarita and it was absolutely one the best drinks we had on our vacation. It was also a great place to just people watch. It is small but the prices were the best we found...
