Very fitting name! We used this restaurant and it's hotel grounds after a snorkelling tour and it was amazing for the entirety we spent at it. The menu had both Spanish and English and the English was easy to understand, definitely no mistranslations. Myself and my girlfriend had many fruit smoothies and piña coladas, all of which were perfect. As for our food, we had the fried calamari which was very nice, crispy batter and the calamari wasn't stringy or mushy. Make-your-own tacos were great, you had a sizzling dish of your chosen meat and vegetables with guacamole and pico de gallo on the side. You also were served a green sauce (salsa verde(?)), a very spicy black-ish sauce and lime wedges. The corn tortillas you got with this dish were great and we were offered a refill on them when we began nearing the end of them. We also got a stuffed fillet of fish, a fillet of white fish stuffed with prawns, octopus, squid and clams, covered with a tomato sauce with vegetables on the side. This was very nice also, I made sure not to leave anything. Food aside, the location of El Paraiso is fantastic, right next to a public entrance to the Playa Paraiso beach. Palm trees cover all the sun loungers outside, security are situated at a few different spots on the grounds which is good for peace of mind. Staff clear the sargassum too which is good if you wanted to have a dip. Staff were friendly and attentive, we were really treated very very well, it felt strange being treated so well! Very strange to see all the poor reviews for this place, our experience was fantastic!

El Paraiso definitely does not deserve the bad reviews that it has at the moment. We (3 persons) spent the day there and only had to pay a total of 500 MXN for access to the sun-beds + tabel and chairs. Even with the price of the food it still comes out cheaper than the minimum spend of 1000 MXN per person that a lot of beach clubs in Tulum require. We ordered lunch and the prices were fair. For 3 appetizers + 3 meals + 3 drinks we paid 1.404 MXN. On the bill they suggested a tip of 10 % (140,4 MXN), which is way lower than the 15 % - 25 % we have seen at other places in Tulum. We paid it gladly as we had some very kind and attentive servers (with perfect English), but will remind everyone that it is only recommended and not required (a forced tip in Mexico is illegal). The food itself was of good quality and tasted good. Unfortunately didn't get a picture of the food menus, but I have attached pictures of the food and the drinks menu.

Google maps didn’t show how to get there by car, but the font desk had quick responses on whatsapp when I asked for directions. You have to pay the fee as you enter the national park 60 pesos pp but no entrance fee for the beach club.. you pay for the day bed (500 pesos) comes with separate table and chairs, showers and lockers included but pay 200 pesos deposit for the key ( which you get back) and pay for the food you order. Fabrisio who looked after us was on point with his food recommendations and attentive but not OTT. Their beach had the best sea front in my opinion as we walked to compare all the rest in the area. the music not too loud, toilets were clean. You can see a view of the Tulum ruins which are 10 min walk away. overall a good place to relax in the beach for the day. parking is free, just have to show your stamped receipt from the restaurant !

Excellent beach club and restaurant. Cannot wait to go back! The beach is really a paradise. We went early and it was just us which was amazing. It does cost 500 pesos for a beach bed but it includes bathrooms and parking which is convenient, it also costs 60 pesos per adult to enter the protected area when you’re driving to the restaurant/hotel. Short 15 minute walk to see the Tulum Ruins from the beach. Food was great and not too expensive, service is great and friendly. Cannot recommend enough.

Not sure why the rating of this restaurant is below 4. We have had a great experience here. Breakfast is included if you stay at the hotel and it’s very good. You can have your choice of eggs plus coffee/tea, orange juice and fruit. We also had lunch here one day and food was good too. Staff is friendly, tips are optional, the area is clean and very nice. The beach is probably the best in the area but careful, during sargasso season is horrible, they don’t clean it properly

500 pesos to book beds or lounge per group and no minimum spend. You do need to have a wrist band for the archeological zone otherwise that’s another 60 pesos. Plastic bottles will be taken off you when entering the zone as well as they are trying to control rubbish in the area. Beautiful spot and drinks are reasonable (cheap-er) compared to other spots around the area with lounges to rent
