Dune Tulum Beach Restaurant — Restaurant in Tulum

We visited beach bar and restaurant as we were staying in accomodation across the road with no access to the beach. Most places along the beach request you to spend up to 70 dolars per person so you can enjoy time at the beach. We were told by owner of our hotel that Dune's minimum spending is 25 usd and menu is priced quite reasonable ( she was right about it). First of all food was delicious. Breakfast selection was great and everything super tasty. We also tried their tuna tataki for lunch aswell and was delicious too. Secondly staff is super nice. I've seen comments here that they push you to leave tips,but they 100%deserve it and hey... if youre lucky enough to live in western country and live gave opportunity to earn more money than most local people here ...leave them few dolars! Thirdly, premises is super chilled and its pure pleasure to spend your time here. One last thing... reception and lobby of hotel...

The facility is nice however they try to trap the people. We went there as a family, with 8 year old kid. They told us that we are allowed to use the pool but when we paid the entrance fee they started to complain and said that it is just limited for 10 minutes. Another point is once we were there, the waiter told us 15% service fee is not included in the entrance fee. I asked if the service fee is a fixed price then he said no, it can also be 10%. And I asked what about 0? He said it is also fine which gave me the impression that they try to trap me. And he tried to get the service fee in the beginning and thanks to god I said I will pay at the end. The waiters are always steering you to push to drink or eat sth which definetely creates discomfort. Bottom line, I don’t recommend this...

The dune beach club is a great place to spend a day from the morning to evening. Beautiful atmosphere and comfy beach beds. The beach beds were free with condition that we will spend 1000 pesos which is very reasonable. The food was great and service as well. There is also free parking in front of the Dune hotel. The service and staff were really friendly and attentive. However the first day when we came just for lunch and didnt give a tip, the server came back to us asking why we didnt pay for service. This behaviour was not very friendly but overall experience was good. The other day everything was completely fine. I recommend this beach bar to...
