It's definitely a great place for taste and foodies. I had the fajitas pineapple, which was amazing! Grilled pineapple with chicken, green peppers, and onions. The chicken meat was succulent and had great flavor. The wife had the chicken poblana with cream sauce. She remarked that the only thing she might change is to add onions to it. Rich taste and flavors. The chicken was again moist and full of flavor. My only gripe would be that the rice portions / the fajita dressings were sparse. This is an interesting place in that it's a sit-down restaurant, but it is small enough to not have the same feel. The atmosphere was decent for a Saturday. There was music playing that was not too loud. The service was beyond amazing! Our waiter, Elicio, was constantly checking for drinks and if we were good. He was backed up by the 3 other servers, who each in turn checked on us. Elicio was very knowledgeable and even checked in with us about our appetizer, the queso flandido, to make sure we understood that it was different than a regular order of queso. I am thourghouly impressed and we will definitely be back again!

Food is amazing! I have eaten all over the world including Alaska, Aruba & quite a few others. Mexican food for me is very hard to try new places especially coming from a Mexican background so when I try chili enchiladas it's hard to find enchiladas that don't taste like they just opened a can of chili & slapped it on. THESE CHILI ENCHILADAS WERE SOOO GOOD!! The owner Oscar said everything is made from scratch & boy could you taste the difference & do you see the juice coming out of the chicken enchiladas? YUM! My husband ordered Tacos al carbon it was like having thick pieces of juicy steak. HEAVEN!! The owner said he GIVES COMPLIMENTARY MARGARITAS! Never in my life have I been to a Mexican restaurant that serves free Margaritas, makes aroz con leche, owner is very sweet & a hard worker, he was waiting tables & making sure everyone was taken care of & food is off the charts good!!I will be coming back! You can tell this place takes pride in their work. Thank you Mi Casa for a wonderful experience!

Ok...first time here. So, I checked out the menu with BOTH eyes and realized It had Tex-Mex and Authenctic dishes and that's where the difference is. So, I ordered the Mole Oaxaca which is a region in Mexico. Their Molè is made differently than what we are used to. But I experienced a neat dish with a gravy sauce that was a bit on the sweet side vs the spicey side. It was a pleasant taste. It was served with rice and grilled plantains that were the bomb which was also a first. My wife ordered the Flauta plate with double rice and was very satisfied! I would recommend this location and if your wanting to try something different from usual local Mexican dishes, then try from the authentic side of the menu. Yes Molè was different but it was good. But.....the price for a small cup of queso dip was $6! Too expensive for a small cup. Wonder what a large cup costs. Anyways that's why it was overall 4 stars. Staff Is Great and that helps over look the cost, at least a bit

The food in the service here was great. Very attentive, the chips never ran low, and our water glasses never went empty. This review would be five stars, except that when paying for the upgraded “top shelf margarita on the rocks“ the glass was quite small, and was filled to the brim with ice. I would say that it was half full of the actual drink at best… other than that, everything else was great! I had the carne asada, and it did not disappoint! Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. The rice and beans were awesome, and even the free salsa was so tasty everyone at our table commented on it! It’s worth a stop if you’re in the area and hankering for Mexican or Tex-Mex!

First time customers from Lubbock. We were lucky to find this restaurant, based upon it's excellent, and accurate reviews. My sopa de Huatulco was the best I've ever had, here or in Mexico. The traditional dishes were perfectly executed. Even the nachos were built on hand made, thick tortillas. You will not find a better mole in Mexico. This restaurant has some high end dishes, priced accordingly, and fairly so. It is extraordinary to find such a remarkable restaurant in Waxahachie, Texas. It merits my highest recommendation! We will return, even from 350 miles away!

We absolutely loved this charming family-run establishment! The food is authentic and from scratch and you can taste the love. The service is quick and friendly and our drinks never go low. The salsa was flavorful with just enough kick and I wish I could just drink the queso. There are a variety of fajita options as well as many traditional Mexican favorites. My sour cream chicken enchiladas were so good that I actually growled during my first few bites (embarrassingly!). It's a small place, so come early to get parking and a table!
